Antonio is not bad. He’s the 10 goal season striker that keeps you in the EPL. Then you build around him and maybe replace him with the next tier up like Isak... that’s if you have the money. You can make top 4 and still not have the money if you’re West Ham.

endo cannot be the fabinho replacement, he’s been brought in (atleast i hope) just to be the new milner. We let milner go this summer because we thought henderson could be the new milner who can play a few positions and be a vocal character the team needs, we then sold hendo so endo has come in to basically be the new milner. Mac allister has replaced hendo, szoboszlai has replaced keita and ox, then endo has replaced milner. All we need now is a fabinho replacement and whether we’re gonna be cheap and just say that’s bajcetic or if we go out and buy a proper dm we’ll find out soon.

Maybe he could play more freely at a team like Stuttgart against bundesliga teams, but he's in the prem now, no chance he's getting that same type of leniency

i don’t know why bayern wouldn’t loan gravenberch to either man u or liverpool for a year with a buy option of like 40-50m. They only play him in cup games so it’s not like he’s needed, and they either see a future for him or they don’t. If they don’t see a future for him then atleast he’ll be playing in the premier league with eyes on him so next year they can sell him for a profit or he’ll do well and they get a good fee for him.

Buvey really talking out his arse, Antonio played LW the whole time at Forest at was immense hence West Ham signing him, he then played, on both wings and through the middle, but was also utilized at RWB early on in his west ham career due to a massive lack of RBs at the club, we're talking when Collins and Tomkins were still there

It’s sad to say this but as a Liverpool fan, I’m actually agreeing quite closely with Rory’s analysis of us & also what Buvey briefly mentioned… Klopp has been massively let down but the problem with that is that it’s partly Klopps own fault… His stubborn with loyalty & I don’t see him being the type of manager to push back against the owners to force them to open their wallet to get us back to the top again

Yep Arsenal really needed a striker who can strike 20-25 PL goals a season. Jesus ain't that guy, that's why CITY sold him, and certainly neither is Nketiah. That kinda striker would be, unless we find a undiscovered gem, 90-100m, which the havertz fee could have gone towards, with sold some deadwood and there's that fee reached.

Arsenal don't need a striker, we scored 88 goals in the last season, the most in our PL history! Scoring goals wasn't the problem, it was the defence.

The striker argument isn't for the amount of goals, its for the goals in times you needed them, like against Everton or Forest where someone who's never been that prolific such as Jesus struggles to score in the big moments

@@sydney9766realistically who would you have Arsenal sign that is better than Jesus in this currently cooked market for strikers? A stop-gap signing in our backline takes more priority now after the Timber injury. We shipped 43 goals last season. You won’t win a title conceding that many goals

I do agree there probably isn't a good enough striker in the market right now without shilling out at least £70 million. Ferguson if he does well this season could be an option. There is always the option of a possible January swoop for Ivan Toney returning is always a possibility as well depending on if he wants to give Brentford that return of loyalty. While I don't think he would replace Jesus outright, Dybala could also be a good cheap option for Arsenal to come on in a struggling game and score an important goal like he did for Roma several times last season. @@ktmsnoop

The only world-class out and out strikers around these days are Kane, Haaland, Lewa and Benzema. The first two wouldn't come for obvious reasons, Lewa and Benzema are ancient. Osimhen wouldn't be a good fit, and the likes of Vlahovic, Toney, David etc aren't even an upgrade on Jesus.

if casemiro still had legs i’d back united to do alright but he can’t get about like he used to, u need an inbetween midfielder who can also defend so playing with bruno and either mount or erikson just won’t work cus they’re not good enough defensively. I’ve seen they’re linked with gravenberch and he’d be perfect if they can agree a fee with bayern, only problem is they might want £40-50m because we all know his potential is great and they’ve left it late
