I'm an Ex-Christian and a new follower of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism). The difference between the Dharmic philosophies (Hinduism, Buddhism, Skihism and Jainism) are a total opposite to the 3 Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity & Islam). It's like comparing light and darkness. The Abrahamic religions discourage thinking and questioning and expect it's followers to have (blind) faith. The Dharmic philosophies on the other hand strongly encourage it's followers to question everything and seek answers that will satisfy them. The wisdom and depth of Hinduism is so profound. It's an ancient living belief system that is so modern, relevant and completely in sync with all the sciences.

Every time I hear the reasons new people appreciating Hinduism, I feel like I am learning and being more Hindu myself.

I am an Atheist(believes only in law of Karma) and still a practising Hindu. Hinduism denounce the ideology of Religion based sectorianism. Hinduism/Hindu/Sanatana is a DHARMA which means LAWFUL DUTY. You can be of any faith or even be atheist and still become Hindu keeping ur older faiths practising as there is no idea of conversion under Hinduism. Its broad and very inclusive.

I am glad that they found solace in Hinduism. However, as a practicing Hindu, I also suggest be extremely wary of people who call themselves as Guru (Nithyananda pic) and expect to be worshipped. Don't follow anybody blindly. Beauty of Hinduism is, it allows you to be critical of your own religion and practices. I will desist saying anything further than this.

Hindusim , Buddhism and Jainism , Sikhism revolve around the same ideas of self realisation and liberation from cycles of life and death.

When I read Sanskrit verses of gita spoken by Lord Krishna , I feel him very close to me

If I have to tell any westerns what's Hinduism in one term , I'll say Hinduism is like a democracy of religion. It's a democracy. And Christianity is more like a monarchy. In democracy we all practice our own beliefs and respect each other's belief and everyone is doing their own thing and having their own way of practising it. Whereas in Christianity, it's like a monarchy (a good one) but when you defy it's belief system you're punished by the monarch or it's believers ( though not anymore, as Christianity has got liberalized) and same is the case of Islam. But in Hinduism we believe that if someone does any bad deeds, God will punish him according to his Karma or it's like what goes around turns around. And there is no concept of non believer in Hinduism because it believes everyone should follow their own path.

I love this religion as it makes far greater sense than any other primitive religions that scares the life out of you if you did not follow these other religios to the book. Hinduism is true God worshipping through divine spiritual energy that we all possess but do not know how to connect with our creator directly and spiritually.

I am a Hindu from Nepal and both Hinduism and Buddhism coexist in our communities being equally important. The best part is that we have official holidays in every major festivals of all the religions tho Nepal having more than 80% Hindu people following Hinduism in the country. And we are free to visit Buddhist gumbas, Churches and Mosques Peace 🕉

Unlike other religions Hinduism do not have a founder and there are so many books written by various saints. Hindus have the freedom to take different path to seek truth. One can even become atheist and nobody compel him to pray or visit temple. This is the only religion where people enjoy full freedom. One can even question the religious heads which is unheard in other religions. Here there is no blasphemy charges. That is why Hinduism survived despite invasions. For a brief period there was casteism which has nothing to do with core teachings of Hinduism.

Hinduism is the only religion on the earth which does not tells you to convert to Hinduism to find peace. In fact, it says all religions, people, animals, birds, and living beings are equal and have equal right to live. That's why most Hindus are vegans and worship some animals, don't kill them or ask them to be lifted off the streets.

My ancestors have a very old temple(almost 200 years old). It is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Due to unfortunate circumstances it had been in dilapidated condition until recently. Do visit it if you ever visit Assam, India near the Indo-Bhutan border(dm for exact location) . I would love to see the temple flourish again. It is a haven of peace and love situated right in a beautiful country side.

Things that also make me feel like Hinduism is a science are meditation and yoga. It is amazing how many health benefits we are still discovering to this day of both of these practices which originated with Hinduism. There are people who were paralyzed in one or more limbs who have regained movement in said limbs thanks to yoga. People who practice meditation and yoga live longer and have fewer health problems and aches and pains.

I am so so overwhelmed by watching the video. I recently had an debate with a friend about wrong doings in the world and the propagandas against Hindu and all the tolerant nature and how I am an Unapologetic Hindu. At a point I couldn't answer all of his questions and at that time he said, how can you just quit, there will thousands and lakhs of people throwing questions at you regarding the proofs, and also secular remarks you will face, what will you do then? I patiently answered him, Hinduism doesn't teach me to shout, force, or impose the way of living on some one else. People find peace and harmony in the vibes of a such a spiritual atmosphere. Everything is related to science and I felt so so blessed after learning about this after being a critic before. If I don't have enough knowledge, because I feel I am nowhere near to even 1%, how can I help the others, I had to unlearn before learning, the baseless memes on the Internet, surface facts all seem to point the flaws of Hindus. There is nothing in the world having no flaw, but a flaw in the perception of ones mind. As we clean grains and throw the stones out before cooking a delicious meal, similarly start with cleansing yourself first, change something you don't feel is correct within yourself. Like it's said, be the change you want to see in this world. Many people have reached 70-80-90% in their devotion and practice and as I started to read and watch more regarding the beauty of the Sanatan Dharma, the more I fell in love with it. I used to be this adamant kid always asking my parents the logic behind doing this ritual, doing that. And the problem was passing on, the tradition and the practices continued to be followed but without explaining the reasons behind them, that's why I refused to accept them. But as I started feeding my curiosity and came up with science and logic behind every practice, the feeling of closeness to the superior and the enlightenment aura, bass, that was when I bowed down with tears in eyes. Those people having 70-80-90% knowledge about Hindu way of Living would have started with 1% at some time and that's why they are capable of solving the jumble in people's mind. That's why they don't force people to come to them, rather people willing are accepting this way of Living and embracing its warmth. Sanatan Dharma is accepting and I am proud of it.
