Here is all my passive income for December 2023.
For the last 15 years I've been investing spare money each month into dividend paying shares. I reinvest the dividends and allow them to compound and snowball. I've now receiving an average of over £1,200 a month. This simple strategy is helping me to generate enough passive income to hopefully achieve financial freedom. The companies mentioned in this video and current holdings are NS&I Premium Bonds (50K), Unilever (32.2k), BP (25.9k), Shell (32.3k), HSBC (11.0k), Vanguard All World High Dividend ETF (VHYL) (8.7k), The Renewable Infrastructure Group (2.8k), iShares Core FTSE 100 ETF (ISF) (21.9k), iShares S&P500 ETF (IUSA) (27.8k), Imperial Brands (8.6k)
Subscribe and follow my journey.

This video is not financial advice. The price of shares can go down as well as up and your capital is at risk. Please do your own research.

Can u help us a bit ? I just created account on ns&i and I put some money there , do we have to create an account for each of those what u just mention ? Pls share some with us , also u mention about Tesco share, with what website u operate to buy shares?
@TheCompoundingInvestor
@TheCompoundingInvestor 24 күн бұрын
Hi there. On the NS&I website there are different types of accounts you can open e.g. savings account or premium bond account. You will also need a U.K. bank account to sign up with NS&I and then open a Premium Bond account with them however if you are resident outside the U.K. you will need to check if your country allows you to hold premium bonds. For shares you will need to open a stockbroking platform. I use Barclays but there are many other cheaper ones like Trading 212 or Freetrade. I’m not sure which ones can be opened from overseas if outside the U.K. once you have opened a platform then you should be able to buy shares in individual companies or exchange traded funds. There is of course risk with stock market investing and you could lose money. It is not suitable for everyone.

Do you reinvest your dividends. Also do you invest in crypto and if you do, do you do staking
@TheCompoundingInvestor
@TheCompoundingInvestor 3 ай бұрын
Yes dividends get reinvested but not usually in the same companies which paid them. I like to choose where it goes. I don’t buy crypto as o consider that speculation rather than investing
@FrothyPine

@@TheCompoundingInvestor I like to choose where they go as well, but that is only in companies that i have bought a large amount of shares in. In others I typically just have them reinvest. Also i reccomend looking at crypto a bit more as it can be risky, but it does come with its rewards. I currently have about 5% of my networth in crypto such as eth, sol, btc and others

Thanks. I use Barclays Smart Investor but they are quite expensive. For those with smaller portfolios or just starting out, Trading 212 is worth considering as it’s commission free

How many years till retirement? I guess at this rate in 10 years you will have £1m and payments of £4k in dividends per month which is a massive pension!

I'll carry on with the full time day job as long as I still enjoy it. Passive income does give you options however if things change you want to go part time or give up some work responsibilities to have a better work-life balance.
