Due to Afeni’s political background with the Black Panthers ,jobs would often lay her off. The FBI locked up a lot of Pac family friends due to their black Panther connection in fear of a black revolution.

2Pac's mother Afeni Shakur was a member of the Harlem Chapter of the Black Panther Party they were accused of conspiring to blow up a federal building she defended herself during the trial and as u heard was acquitted a month before Pac was born. Afeni was often laid off from jobs due to her political background connection to the black panthers. Pac said he would’ve had more discipline, and confidence if he had a father. He met his father for the first time in years after he had gotten shot at quad studios. When he woke up ,he looked up and saw Billy Garland (his father) standing over him

pac mother - Alice Faye Williams - was politically active in Black Panthers. She served 11 months in prison, during which time she was pregnant with Tupac, named for the last Incan emperor, who led a rebellion against Spanish conquistadors. She served as her own defense attorney and was acquitted of multiple counts, earning release from prison in 1971, shortly before giving birth to Tupac.

A little cultural information regarding the comment about Tupac and his sister being half-brother and half-sister...in the African American community, we only consider a sibling a half-brother or half-sister if you have different mothers. If you have the same mother we just call them your brother and sister. I suppose it's because you occupied the same womb and you were raised together in the same household. You'll never hear an African American person call their sibling a half-brother or half-sister if they have the same mother even if they have different fathers. Love your reaction.

Tupac's mom Afeni Shakur is the woman with the nose ring in the video. She was a Black Panther and she and others were falsely imprisoned. She defended herself and won. Pac was born like two months after her release. They moved around a lot because of her Black Panther status, so they were very poor. Afeni was a VERY intelligent woman . That is where Tupac got it from . She went to a school of arts just like he did.

i would be interested to know what song was your introduction song to Tupac? tupac also became estranged from his mom but they reunited and he paid for his mother's rehab so he was able to see her get back on track before he died.

His stepfather has been in his life and had a huge impact on Pac. His stepfather was a big revolutionar of the black panther movement. He even took his Stepfathers last name as his own!
