Hello everyone,
Michele here from The Creative Cove and thank you for joining me on my channel.
Today’s video is part two of my scrap busting video series it’s about using simple little pieces of paper that you have left over and doing some fun sketches on. It creates a focal point on clusters, inserts, book tags or what ever you like to make. The idea is to have things ready to glue into your journals.

You sketch beautifully! This is how I learned my job.I am a pet groomer,When I started 40 yrs ago there was 186 breeds of dog w/different grooming requirements. It was overwhelming luckily,I was an artist, so I sketched on cards what the animal looked like,on back ,how to groom it.Sketching is a great way to learn.I would imagine you could also be a botanist/herbalist, just from the knowledge you have gained by sketching!

My sewing machine did the same thing. I took the bobbin area apart and cleaned out the dust and it helped. I like to watch you sketch. You make it look so easy.

Gosh Michele, you are so talented! I get so happy when I see a video from you on sketching. What a treasure of a book you found....seriously....1902! Amazing. If anyone deserves that find, it's you because you will share it with the world. I'm hoping one day you'll create a book that I can purchase. I love this idea of getting old illustrated books to try to sketch from (for me). I’ve never been good at it but have been trying lately. Your sketches are wonderful & I enjoyed watching this😊😊😊

I sketched with you today and made 5. I used pencil holding my pencil near the end and my drawings look so much better than holding my pencil like when writing. Also I go back and use my micron pen so I select the lines I want to use and can erase the spots I didn't like. Now I trying to decide if I will watercolor any if them but I will be making them into greeting cards . Love your channel.

So inspiring as always Michele. I love watching you sketch….you make it look so easy and it inspires me to go and get my own pens out and sketch along with you (or try to!). Would love to see you sketch some simple landscapes as I recently made myself a wide but not deep sketchbook but have nothing in it!
