Saw The Darling Buds at Canterbury Uni in 1988 with Lush supporting

Darling Buds made their mark on Indie Pop late 1980's & early 1990's.

I saw them in San Francisco on the Pop Said....tour and they were terrific. Andrea was as endearing as any performer I've seen. I remember her taking pictures of the audience because they were all so obviously thrilled to be there and playing overseas. It took me by surprise, because I thought the album was nowhere up to The Primitives debut, but The Primitives were as flat live when they came on tour as the Darling Buds were great. A nice memory.....

After hearing in 1989 this I bought the album on vinyl at Woolworths...

Folks please share this song and the first Album by The Darling Buds,, deserve more regoniton, it's totally awesome, I've been searching for this band on You Tube for ages, finally found it, I didn't know name of band (sorry) as I heard this as a young child, i just remembered I loved it, I'm delighted I found this, total blast from the past and the first album is also a complete Blast!!! ❤️

I remember the darling buds 1989 and saw them at Sheffield in 1991.this is what a proper band is great memories from 89 never ever forget the good times I had listening to this band wow.

Was down near Bristol for a fortnight and was looking for a live music venue and a chick in a canteen (fox) sent me to a club in Bristol to watch a local band. I must've gone to the wrong venue cos Andrea & the boys were on & played a storming gig. Excellent.

Just come off the Primitives ‘Crash’ and immediately remembered this equally catchy pop song from around back then, and they’re from the same part of south 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 as the great Feeder

I came across this over 10 years ago o Pandora and I am amazed that I missed it in the 1980s. I liked the Go-Go's but this is even better.

Slowdive claim they sounded just like the Primitives and the Darling Buds, but without the reverb. Food for thought.

Sounds like they are trying to be The Primitives. The Darlingbuds was so much better.

Maybe spend more time songwriting next time. Not very good at all. Lacks melody. Need a better singer as well.
