It was so sad that Sammy thought he doomed Hazel, and when he tapped in Morse code... Just know I was crying so much I nearly ran out of tear ducts. The whole page 273 was so heart-breaking (for me). One of my top saddest Percy Jackson quotes is "Oh, Sammy. No, a curse didn't keep me away. I wanted to come back. I died!"

@Alfie Bell may castellan (luke’s mom) tried to become the oracle but it didn’t work so she went mentally crazy, after he ran away, every day she would make luke’s favorite lunch even though he was never coming back :(

Her mind then got stuck in the past where she saw a younger Luke return home after lunch was made so she made lunch over and over again until her vision(that she believed to be the future) happened and their family is reunited.

I read about Silena's death 5 minutes before Zoom class started. I had to try not to cry. It worked. But then at night when I read about Ethan's, and Luke's death, I was sobbing in my chair. And then thinking about Silena's, Charlie's, and everyone else's death in the whole series, made me cry for about half an hour. Then I started laughing (sounded more like cackling) on my chair when Annabeth and Percy kissed. I get way too emotional.

My all time favourite quote from PJO and top tier amongst most literary works, will always be in the Last Olympian. After the battle settles, Percy walks up to Zeus and asks him to light the top of the Empire State Building blue... it's such a SMALL thing but seeing Percy think, "my mom would know: I had survived. Olympus was saved," Is just the most heartwarming thing. It's so Percy and so pure, but at the time I read it I felt like I could feel the relief Sally must've had seeing that. It's those two sentences that close the deal. She knew he would do both, but it still hits home how precious that small moment was.

Headcanon: Iapetus and Zoe were actually close before the Olympians overthrew the Titans. Knowing Zoe had been turned into a constellation, Iapetus wanted Percy to tell his granddaughter hello because they hadn't seen each other in thousands of years.

This is the saddest one in my opinion: “Tell the sun and stars I said hello” -Bob the Titan. It gets me tearing every time. Did we also forget that when Bob and Damasen died, Small Bob did too? We didn’t lose only one Bob during that sad scene.

I watched her until she reached the cabins. She didn’t look back once. At first when she first received the prophecy, Annabeth thought it was going to be Percy, then when it turned out to be Luke, she couldn't even meet her eyes with Percy. Every time I read the end of this book, I feel like there's a hole in my chest, its just that sad for me.

Yeah it's so sad. I hate it when people act like Piper didn't care about him. Yes, she hurt him, but she still loved him as a friend and had no intention of causing him pain. She was absolutely heartbroken when he died.

2:51 that reminds me of Falsettos! (If you didn't know it's a musical surrounding 3 love story lines that all intertwine it goes through abuse, first love, breakup, maturity, and finally death to one of the best and oddly most sane character in the show leaving everyone-not just the characters but the audience- grieving and with a total sense of loss. They manage to do this using symbols like baseball and games or more specifically, chess it's beautiful and will leave you crying )

first of all, you’re downright evil for making this video, but I love you for it. I wasn’t prepared to completely break down though. Let’s just say that I started sobbing after only the first few words of the first quote. TOA is super underrated. rick actually had the nerve to apologize for Jason’s death. There are several quotes in that series that punched me in the gut. The burning maze is probably the worst, but the tyrant’s tomb was a close second. That book was quite intense. And the last line of the tower of Nero wasn’t exactly sad, but I was sobbing like crazy. I could hear Rick cackling in the background throughout this video. We know that whatever happens, he will always be the real villain of his books. I actually thought that we were going to have a somewhat hopeful and peaceful ending in house of hades after that insane climax, especially after the way Rick tortured us by the ending of mark of Athena. Boy was I wrong. He waited for the last three words to punch us straight in the gut. “Bob says Hello.” I mean, was it necessary to reduce millions of people into tears”

I recently re-read all of the books and going back through I realized that when I was 10 reading these books, I missed out on a lot of details. All of these quotes made my heart break. But I am glad to know that I am not the only one obsessed with Percy Jackson and the books that revolve around it. If you realize it: These books were made for kids, but as an adult, you still get the emotional feeling that still satisfies you in the way it would a child. These books are a work of art and I support them with all of my heart. But these quotes just made me break. Thank you for reminding me of the best quotes. (btw great vid it deserves a sub)

Ok. I know I don't have much ground to debate considering the fact that I haven't read the book that line came from since at LEAST 2010; so shaky memory is a factor and I won't be able to go back to my childhood home to pick up the book and read it for a few weeks minimum, but I want to at least ask about that line. About Percy telling Nico to go back to his father, wasn't that in the context of Nico asking how he could help the war effort/make up for earlier and Percy telling him go back to your father, we all need his help and you're the only one who has a chance of convincing him to help. Isn't that how Hades and Nico came in with an army at the height of the war like the cavalry and saved the day when Kronos was there? Am I remembering that wrong? I'm not trying to make excuses for Percy, that's still a dayyyyum line but I remember the line and context being less "just go back to your abusive father" and more "look, we need your father's help if we want to survive this and you're the only one who has a chance of convincing him".

It's taking all my willpower to not dislike your comment- Look. Percy didn't even mean it in that way. He meant it in the "you're the only one who can convince him to help." It's not Percy's nor Nico's fault Nico's father is the Lord of the Dead and saying that sentence, "Just go back to your father" has a different meaning. Percy didn't mean it in that way and nor did Nico deserve it. Nico just wanted to know more about his mother after his sister dying. And Nico had a reason behind tricking Percy. reason *s* , actually. 1) He wanted to know more about his mother. 2) He didn't know Hades was gonna try to kill Percy. He thought Hades wanted to talk to Percy. (or something like that. I haven't read that scene of TLO in a while). 3) Nico has lost Bianca; Percy promised to try his best to keep her safe but failed. Nico- as much as he's always liked Percy- would be bitter from that. He has the right to be. Nico *liked* Percy. not the "I like you as a friend." *liked* him. Nico didn't mean to 'betray' Percy. He just wanted information about his mother. Anyway. That's my rant. I just get reallllyyy defensive when someone says something against Nico. He's my favorite character. 😁 So, sorry if this sounded rude.

"There will never be a time when you're ok with it" I thought not just about the grief in Piper, but the one Nico felt as a kid. Honestly, I would never expect Nico to stop hurting about, neither do I expect it of Piper. My only hope, is that it doesn't happen to Percy, I don't wish bad things on people. If Tyson died, it would show him that pain. I still hope that it doesn't happen. It would ruin him. My heart goes out to all the characters that have lost a sibling, blood related or simply someone that's become a sibling regardless of having no blood relation. Doesn't matter if they're fictional.

My brother and I worked to get our books, we both could get only 2 books per year because we had to work for the bookstore vouchers with our results. We got TMoA and THoH in 2018, TSoN and TBoO in 2019 and this year we managed to snag TLH and TLO because there was a 20% off deal. TToN somehow became a part of it and both my bro and I were really happy that we completed a series. TToN made me cry. I’ll admit that I wasn’t all that interested in ToA at first, but when I heard about Jason’s death 😭😭😭😭 I threw myself in. I still haven’t read THO or TBM but I will. The arc is complete, and I will fight, laugh and cry alongside our characters.
