There is struggles with regards to jobs in South Africa, today, unemployment is at the region of 30%, around 1 million graduates are unemployed but majority of these graduates are in the humanities and very few in the STEM fields, it is relatively easy to find a job in the STEM fields than the humanities. One of the biggest challenges facing South Africa is it's constitution, why?, it protects property rights, that in itself is good but the land that was brutally taken from it's indigenous people by the 10% of the citizens who are European and own70% of the land, this land is for settlement, farming, tourism, mining etc.... so, the constitution is now holding it's indigenous people hostage because for them to invest do not only need a business Idea and starter capital but they also need the land, land much of them do not have because the 10% of the population have it and now they have to employ majority of the 85% of the population, we need land for startups, farming, mining, tourism, investment into the housing sector, etc.... So, South Africa is very imperfect and a lot still needs to be done but if you compare it to all of Africa, Eastern Europe(excluding Russia) most of South America, much of Asia and South Africa beats them all.

As South Africans this country is the only Africa we know and it's about time people from across the continent stopped saying thos country is the Europe of Africa. We are an African country and whatever they see here they can build back in their home countries. They need to move past this mentality of associating development with Europe. We are not even happy with our country rn now but we stay to fight to make sure it becomes a better country for all of us 🇿🇦✊🏾.

We paint a picture because in the Zulu Culture it's very important to know your ancestry in order to know who you are. Growing up our parents call us by our tribe/clan names (which is usually names of our ancestors) in order to preserve the history and it has been so since since. So when you come to the Zulu nation they will want to know your name and your father's name eg: if you are Simon and your fathers name is Adam, when they see you they will acknowledge you and your ancestry "hello Simon son of Adam". That's how we preserve our history. Background is very important❤️

First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for his kind words and appreciation of our beloved country, South Africa. It warms our hearts to know that he has found beauty in our landscapes, admired our infrastructure, and appreciated the warmth and hospitality of our people. His positive experiences undoubtedly reinforce the unique and diverse charm of our nation. South Africa also is the African country that has many African migrants compared to other African countries, and we currently have migrants mostly from Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Congo, Uganda, Malawi, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Somalia. We do have migrants from other African countries in West, East, Central and North Africa but the countries that I mentioned above have the highest number of migrants in South Africa. It's also easy for foreigners to find a job in South Africa than South Africans, and majority of foreigners living in South Africa are working. His admiration serves as a reminder of the treasures that South Africa has to offer, and it encourages us to continue working towards building a better and brighter future for our citizens and visitors alike. However, I also believe in the importance of honesty and transparency, and it is only fair that I share some of the challenges we are facing as a nation. Like any other country, we are not without our problems, and one of the most pressing issues we are confronting is higher unemployment rate, higher crime rate and corruption among our leaders. Crime, unemployment and corruption have been a significant obstacle to progress, hindering the proper allocation of resources, diverting funds meant for public welfare, and eroding trust in our institutions. While we acknowledge these issue, we must also acknowledge the efforts made by many individuals and organizations to combat crime and corruption and strengthen accountability in our government. It is heartening to hear his positive experiences in South Africa, and we hope that our nation's beauty and the warmth of its people continue to leave a lasting impression on him. We also encourage him to engage in meaningful conversations about our challenges, as it is through understanding and collaboration that we can move forward as a nation. Once again, thanks to him for his kind words and genuine appreciation for our country. His perspective and observations provide valuable insights for us to reflect upon and inspire us to work collectively towards a better future. One Love Afrika. ✌🏾 💘 😻 💜

South Africa is a place of extremes and you can't really capture it in one sentence or word. To African immigrants, it's a mind blowing place overall because it is in many cases much better than home, but to locals, there's considerable hard ships. Not bottom of the barrel, but it gets tough

When foreigners come to South Africa ,they take any job ,any salary they get exploited now bussiness people want to hire foreigners only because they are not"expensive" if I put it that way. Now that causes a problem with South Africans , that all employers do not want to hire South Africans because we "know* our story, we won't settle for anything , same with at work place if you are South African you work with foreigners, they will always be "spies" agree to everything even when you can clearly see that it's not part of your job .they are just scared to face and fight for what is right. That is the situation we are facing as South Africans

Besides the ones in professions and 'traditional careers', a lot of African foreign nationals here in Mzansi are self employed (tuckshops, barbers, welders, carpenters, etc) and then a huge portion is in logistics and construction and that's where most xenophobic attacks are usually directed because (open secret) they take the jobs below minimum wage hence companies prefer them than natives... in the same breath, the unemployment rate for the youth is very high, and graduates do struggle to find jobs in their preferred career fields, especially after Covid. As a result, the government has been encouraging entrepreneurship by increasing funding for SMME’s among a lot of other attempts.

South Africa is not perfect, we have a lot of issues here. But we have good and welcoming people, unfortunately some people take advantage of that and may do bad things which can rub South Africans the wrong way. Nonetheless we love having other Africans in our country. Unfortunately unemployment is high due to unemployment and government's corruption and the global economy problems caused by the pandemic amongst other things. The informal sector has been growing rapidly pushing the unemployment rate higher, as people in the informal sector are considered unemployed. Capetown has better and more job opportunities than anywhere in the country because a different political party is in charge of the western cape province.

People who are unemployed in south Africa are people who decided to go to fields that are already overloaded with skills , or are semi skilled ( also overloaded) if people studied courses like medicine, teaching(maths and science and accounting), computer science and other courses that in demand people would actually have jobs but alot of people just do useless courses. Actually amaXhosa fiercely faught the colonial wars way before amaZulu. You need to watch the funeral of amaXhosa king Mpenduli Sigcawu. Mr president C. M. Ramaphosa explains in details the plight, the courage & fierceness of amaXhosa warious. That is not to take away the glory of amaZulu for their own conquest but amaXhosa dealt with the worst cruelty from colonialsm yet emerged one of the best if not thee BEST African tribe not only to have survived colonial wars but faught fiercely ( lost in some aspects, but have surely won) and are still as fierce as ever. The narrater should learn about the Xhosa kings/ Chiefs like Maqoma and how at the begining of all this African nightmare they worked in solidarity with the Khoekhoe kings to fight the enermy.

SA is like the America of Africa, the grants are not enough but they do help to put food on the table. When it comes to employment people from outside countries take so much of that, as they are willing to accept pays below their means and South Africans know their rights and will not work for a pay that is below their means. So most companies consider outsiders because they pay them low and get more profits. Unemployment rates are high in South Africa for South Africans. I have a master in business and still after 4 years I have no job.

Unlike some other African countries where you start something new and end up being disappointed because people prefer what they are accustomed to. SA is not without its problems, we South Africans cry because we can see the decline in the last few years but others still see us as having it good! even when we do move to other countries (i’m one of those) we go back home because we have it all, just a few serious governance problems that could be easily fixed if politicians were serious about betterment of people’s lives and cheap imported labour doesn’t help things.
