The Dirtbike Rider

Күн бұрын

In today's video i will show you helpful techniques for mastering slipping the clutch. Everything is based on clutch engagement point, because that feeling is most important to learn for enduro riding. I am sure most of you guys know how clutch control is important for hard enduro riding. So this is right video to learn few ways how you can improve your clutch control on next level what will make huge impact on your dirtbike riding.
You can use one finger on clutch lever or two if you have really hard clutch pull (there are ways to make clutch pull lighter). Also i know some guys use middle finger for clutch but i cant because its feeling really strange to me.
When i get in really hard terrain when i need do a lot of clutch work i use two fingers, but for best clutch feeling and control i use just one.
Releasing the clutch quickly is important when you need cross logs in forest or bigger rocks. Also same technique is used when you are doing slow wheelies, pivot turns, double blip technique and other similar tricks.
The best exercise to get feeling for clutch slipping is to find small uphill and ride slightly uphill then pull your clutch in. When your dirtbike is starting to roll backwards then apply small amount of throttle and release your clutch to engage and go forward. Also use as little throttle as possible in this way you will keep low RPM what will improve your traction on rear wheel. Its better to stall the engine than making the wheel to spin and lose grip. This is great exercise to get comfortable to use your clutch.

That KTM has a very easy clutch pull but even with a stiff pull one finger is the way to do it especially doing wheelies. You have more control
