Your top 4 is what I consider to be the classic, best top 4among the fans. 1) in Space, 2) RPM, 3) Time Force, 4) and Lost Galaxy really are the most epic seasons that highlight what makes the franchise so great and enduring.

The greatest triumph of RPM is how they took very silly footage and managed to craft a very different tale. There ended up being budget and timing problems IIRC, which cause a change in management partway through, but the premise was already in place and not even that could stop it. I haven't actually seen this season myself but hearing you and Linkara talk about it, it does sound really great.

my top 5 are. 1. Time Force, a brilliant story that utilizes bigotry, hate, love and overcoming differences between humans and non-humans, while showing a story that brought out the ability for people to change their destinies. could watch this series a million times over. 2. In Space, pretty much tied with Time Force, saved the franchise, but showed amazing character development and showed the cost of victory if the good guys won. 3. Lost Galaxy, another of my favorites, the series handled death very well, but also had to deal with slavery and being in the deep dark void of space, amazing characters as well as awesome villains. 4. Dino Thunder, a team of rangers that are from completely different worlds, it was never meant to work, but somehow it did, they overcame social boundaries to forge an amazing team, while having a great villain that knew the mentor added a great dynamic to the series. 5. Lightspeed Rescue. was an interesting series, sadly there were some points that were weak such as some of the villains, but over all it was fun to watch. before people wonder why I didn't add RPM to my 5, it was because I didn't end up watching it.

I got emotional during the last part "if we're gonna go out then damn it we are gonna go out on a high note" that right there made me look at in space in a new light for the truly great season it is & it made me love it more, great list overall tho I expect nothing less

I think Power Rangers was at its best when they veered away from the high school setting. They were able to do more with the show because the school setting confines you to a limited amount of stories to tell before repetitiveness sinks in. Track the trajectory of the franchise and you can tell that it was growing with its initial audience. The series dealt with heavier issues the further we distances ourselves from angel grove and I think it was helping. I think Turbo didn’t work because of the ridiculousness. It felt more like early MMPR than anything. Now you can’t fault Saban too much because the Sentai counterpart to Turbo, Carranger, was an entirely comedic season from what I’ve seen. Since Super Sentai didn’t take itself so seriously then, it was hard to attempt a serious set of storylines that didn’t come off as a head scratcher. But Turbo’s season finale was by far my favorite of the franchise because of it showing stakes. This team was completely beaten to their lowest point. For the first time, a villain defeated the rangers. From the final battle they must hurry off in search of Zordon in order to change things around. Thanks to the continuity of the Zordon era they were able to continue the story. In Space benefited the most from the continuity of all the seasons. In Space was able to focus the majority of its attention on Andros because we were given half a season’s worth of character development of the Turbo Rangers. I just realized something. The transition from Turbo to In Space was exactly what megaforce to super mega force was trying to emulate but failed. I hope Hasbro considers telling a larger over arching story that keeps each season tied to one another in some ways instead of going the stand alone seasons. What made the Zordon era good to me was how everything was woven together in an overarching story. There were elements that couldn’t be delved into because of behind the scenes issues but still good stories overall. Your top four is definitely my top four favorite with RPM/In Space constantly changing for me.

Jungle Fury was as you can say about redemption but you could also say that about Doctor K in RPM

In Space, Lost Galaxy and Time Force are basically the interchangeable top 3. Lists will include 2 or all of these. I'm 29 now and In Space is my white whale. I watch newer Power Rangers in hope to catch a glimpse at another in Space!

I find it funny and cool that go-onger was one of if not the most goofy and kid friendly sentai series ever but rpm was of the most adult and serious ranger seasons

In Space also has arguably the BEST Wasserman soundtrack in 'Go Fly Win'. It was so poetic, it was like Ron Wasserman HIMSELF was egging EVERYONE on to go out with a bang, like everything you just said. If this was to be the end, then GO!!(Power Ranger) FLY!!(Power Ranger) WIN!!(Power Ranger) HERE WE GO!!

So I was doing laundry while watching this, and when Lost Galaxy came up as number 4, I literally had to sit down. I still can hardly believe it! The Top 5 is definitely the objective best of the series. The best storytelling, best characters (rangers and villains), and best season finales. I'm so glad I never watched any of these seasons until I watched them on Netflix as an adult, cause I'm not sure if I would've appreciated them as much as I do had I watched them as a kid. Personally, Ninja Storm, Time Force, and In Space are my Top 3, with all three serving as Number 1 depending on my mood. I certainly don't envy you for making a definitive list. Amazing job staying objective!!!!

I believe that you would love Choju Sentai Liveman. I consider it the best Sentai of all time for its great heroes, villains and story, and since PW has gone downhill this years I believe it would be refreshing too. RPM edges out In Space for me, but I can respect it. In Space did save the franchise a lot harder than RPM did. Maybe Hasbro should cancel it so we can get another awesome season.

It's sort of amazing that the best moments for this franchise seem to come at times when it seems like it might all come crashing to a halt. Not that I actively encourage that position for anyone associated with the brand, but there's something to be said for the end result of when, having their backs to the wall, the show runners, writers, actors, production crew, just about everyone aside from marketing (likely the real major flaw of the "RPM" season, but I feel that was mostly out of their hands) manage to produce meaningful content that delineate's the franchise's core message in refreshing, impactful ways that remain high benchmarks to this day. Even though it hasn't premiered yet and we're not sure how the Hasbro era will play out, I have a feeling the upcoming "Beast Morphers" might be yet another Waterloo moment.

I don't know that any of these lists don't conclude without In Space taking the top spot. Saban really knocked that one out of the park even if I still think for me personally the Disney Era may take the cake. It's tough, though - with Time Force, Lost Galaxy and In Space all coming from Saban, what would the Disney Era be without these building the foundation? A shame Neo Saban would prove to be such a mess. Hasbro seems to be improving a bit over Neo but the source material often seems the goofiest yet to me too. Nice list in any event. I have to agree with all your choices.

I was pleasantly suprised you said In Space because I've always thought the same.

I still think higher of SPD, wile i dont realy disagree with these problems SPD does something that any other season (exepting rpm maybe) like it do, and that is pull of the forginer seting that the show is it, terra venture dont fell like a space station, the aliens planet of in space still fell like the same old quarry, dont get me starte on time force future and dino charge ending, but new tech city fell like a city full of aliens, with prejudice and equality and all in the midle.

My top power rangers series are Time force, wild force, RPM, SPD and Light Speed rescue (which is my favourite). Most of these are sentimental to me, because I watched them when I was 3 (just one episode in each series on repeat, we’ll other than RPM).

Im old enough to remember when mighty morphin first came out, but I more or less stopped watching after in space, and I gotta say that in space might be my favorite season ever, and the psycho rangers are my favorite villians. simple and fun

The irony of this list is what previous theme from Super Sentai. Like In Space, you say it about growing up, but in MegaRanger it about teen battle inside a video game. Plus RPM is from a other not best Sentai season. Go-Onger was basically hippes having other world mechani friends.

Lost galaxy marked me officially growing out of the power rangers when I was a kid. I watched the first episode but then stuff for school and extracurricular stuff got in the way and then I just stopped caring about it.

There is a lot of sacrifices going on in Lost Galaxy. I think its the Magna Defender story that set the bar of death and Sacrifices in future episodes of Lost Galaxy. Sure Mike was the first but he never died because of Magna Defender saving him from the fall. Lets not forget that the Galaxy Ranger also sacrificed the first Astro Megaship to stop Treekena, which is also depressing to watch because the Astro Megaship help saved the Universe. Lets not forget that Lost Galaxy was also the first annual team up that we had and damn good team up too, its actually funny too consider there a reversal with Psycho Rangers in Lost Galaxy. Because in space Psycho Pink was the first to go but in Lost Galaxy she's the last go.

My top 5 comes down to: 1. Wild Force 2. Time Force 3. In Space 4. RPM 5. Lost Galaxy

I hope Beast Morphers can be as compelling as In Space given the source material (Go-Busters) has the 3 rangers as childhood friends become Rangers due to the events prior to episode 1 with the Messiah Project becoming self-aware and bent on destroying humanity

It is really nice to see that after all these years, people still care for Power Rangers. I'm 32 years old, I watched the original Power Rangers every morning before school. I will always be a Ranger. It's morphin' time!

Your not wrong bout Lost Galaxy being more on connections, is truly worthy of praise. Especially how it follows through IN SPACE. It's a great case we should never take for granted the bounds we have.

Can't believe one would have Zeo outside the top 10, it was a more refined version of MM and the Gold Ranger story arc/Jason and Tommy teaming up once again was awesome.

When you noted that no season would be on the list except for In Space did you mean just the 5-1 list or Top 10 total, because in the 10-6 list you had MMPR there which came before in Space... I agree with the lists except I would switch out Wild Force with Lightspeed Rescue, I feel it was a better season that Wild Force IMO. Keep up the great reviews.

I would rank time force pretty low it's a team of time travelers which broke serious time travel rules. To me that's something I just can't get past due to my background exposure to Star Trek and their focus on the temporal prime directive. I also agree in space being #1. That season saved more than the day it saved a franchise. Lost Galaxy should have been #2 for me cause that season of sacrifice was huge it kept pushing the heros into being the best they can be. Leo especially when mike came back dealt with the internal struggle of his destiny, Mike becoming Magna Defender when he needed to help the rangers becoming his destiny. Even when Karone had to become the pink ranger to bring the team back to full strength after Kendrix's sacrifice giving one of the big villians a redemption arc. They had a couple back to back great seasons. RPM also deserving a top spot as well and can be #3 for me, I enjoyed the post-appoclyptic world that team had to defend, the last remaining human city. It was a great season not because they were always pushed to the limit but with how the stakes were so high to motivate them to push as hard as they did.

Finally someone understands the Greatness of In SPACE... I was always amazed by what that season brought to the table. The one thing I noticed the most that I never did when I was younger, is how good astronema was. Also how hot she was ;P

SPD(first time I saw monsters let off the hook by Rangers) 4.Jungle Fury(mostly cause of the villain designs and the fact they weren't using generic swords or guns in the show) 3. Mystic Force(Koragg was cool, Ranger Battlizers were dope) 2. Overdrive (Monster becomes a good guy and later on a ranger, fight scenes were cool, Once a Ranger will remain one of my favorite Power Ranger episodes) 1. Ninja Storm (Rangers felt more like teenagers, Power Sphere mechanic for the Megazords were awesome, and we got TWO evil rangers)

Yeah, I knew our top 7 would all be the same. They’re all just so fantastic. It bothers me a tiny bit that these 7 are so solid and well-done because it feels like the other 12 don’t even compare.

I can agree with most of this. I would have put SPD and Lost Galaxy higher respectfully, but I completely agree with Space being #1

I feel like people are going to debate Time Force and In Space for the only reason that, don't get me wrong, both story arcs are amazing but just because of the love stories. You get to watch Wes and Jen go at it like cats and dogs, they are challenged to fight side by side, they're pushed to accept each other's flaws but also work together to have a dynamic relationship and defeat Ransik. And what's beautiful about it is that you see them change, with each passing episode, you see them accept each other and that relationship right there is what set--in my opinion-- the highest rankings in PR history. But with Space, you have the plot, you have the most badass villain intro, you have the struggle between good and evil, you see the suffering the characters have, especially Andros and Karone, I love this season but I needed more 'humanity' from Andros. Yes, he did change, he knows how to eat a banana, he knows not to hang out with car thieves but it's his human relationships that he needed to grow. The one he has with Ashley is great, you see them grow, but, you don't see many flaws with them, you don't see the problems they have to overcome to be together-- yes, there's was the time that Andros opened up to Ashley about Karone, but that was the only time, however, you see them change for the better, you see them care for each other. I know this may be debated, but both stories are amazing, I completely agree with your choice of In Space being number one, I just think that people are going to negotiate that simply because of the love arc in TF and IS.

My top 1 is Lightspeed Rescue: It has my favorite Red Ranger, favorite Villain (Diabolico), favorite 6th ranger, also the concept of a head quater based under water with cool gears built by human was the first.

Jungle Fury and RPM are my favorite seasons other than the entire MMPR run.
