WATCH DOMINION - we are forcing into existence so many animals just to torture mutilate and massacre them for our taste habit that we are actually destroying the earth itself... there is NO EVIL AS BAD AS 8 BILLION HUMANS WHO EAT ANIMALS

This is what excellent parenting looks like. You listen to kids, you cheng your behaviors when they are more compassionate than you and can teach you smth, then you make that change a whole experience for the entire family. Incredible memories. Plus the mouse was really cute!

Bs. You teach you children and change thier behavior because you are the adult with more wisdom to show them the dangers of life. Mice can be "cute" but try explaining that to your child whilst your lying in a hospital bed because that "cute" mouse gave you hantavirus.

Parents have the ability to make all the difference as long as they keep in mind that they aren't raising "kids". They're *raising adults.* These parents just taught their kids several important lessons that they will appreciate when they become adults. Help when you can. Let go when you must. The "best things in life" aren't necessarily "things". Sometimes they're memories. :)

@Average_Drone

Rats are a bit much… they require very extensive care, and u must have more than one as they are social. hamsters Require much larger cages than they had, are fragile, and more skittish than rats. so with a much bigger cage a hamster might be an option as long as the parents take care of it and teach their kids to be respectful and not force handling! ^^
@xolovenicole

@@Average_Drone yup, the cage they sell in stores for hamsters are small to an abusive level. My hamsters cage is huge and it’s a lot of maintenance. It would be good if the parents are willing to properly teach the kids how to care for it
@mochazhou3170

@@xolovenicole Agreed. Tbh hamsters and other small pets aren't suitable for young children because they require a lot of maintenance and responsibility and a lot of research needs to be done. That crittertrail cage in the video is far from suitable for any small animal, but was okay for a few days of use as a temporary cage.

Kids who have loving parents and a happy home life know right from wrong, in terms of violence being NOT OKAY very very young. I really love that these parents responded to their daughter’s feelings about the mouse traps by getting a humane trap, rather than telling her that mice don’t matter, or that they’re bad, or any other, maybe easier responses. I hope that they were careful and wore breathing protection when handling/disturbing/disposing of the bedding. It looked like a white-footed deer mouse, they can carry hantavirus.
