Starfish's story reminds me of "It Mattered to that one" story. An old man walks along a beach and sees a young boy throwing something into the water. As he approaches, he sees hundreds of starfish lining the beach, washed in from the tide. The young boy is rushing around, throwing the starfish back into the water one by one. The old man asks why he bothers, it’s pointless. There are too many starfish to help them all. As he flings a starfish deep into the water, the young boy replies, “It mattered to that one.” Thank you to Maggie and her family. It matters to your Starfish. You have given her a blessed life.

This young lady is amazing and probably an incredible person right now. I am so touched by how mature and responsible she was and is with Starfish. Of course, dogs are so incredibly resilient they really face obstacles with the grace I wish I had. I think both Maggie and Starfish succeeded because of mutual love and respect. Thank you for setting a great example for how to live!

Yes! They should be proud. I’m part of the generation that grew up with the first introduction to the internet and social media. I experienced the before and after during my formative years. Soooo many school-aged kids today have known nothing beyond the likes of the plastic Kardashians, plastic Instagram Kardashian wannabes, and Jake Paul. 😱 It’s really quite terrifying and horribly sad. Today’s generations and future generations need more people like this daughter - we need more kind, empathetic/sympathetic, genuine souls.

There is no greater healer then love and compassion and it costs nothing and brings so much in return. Starfish is so blessed to have Maggie's love. 💖 and the rest of the families love. Beautiful parents raising beautiful children , we need more parents and children like them. Schools should have a curriculum teaching children to love and have compassion for our animal's and taking care of them and mother nature.

They were going to put down my cat due to a brain infection before I got her. Luckily, the person we adopted her from found her and was able to find a surgeon to help. Her eye was removed but she is such a happy, sweet, loving, funny, silly cat! We love her so much.

Starfish is a fighter and wasn't giving up especially the SUPER SUPPORT this Adorable Baby. Yes, its hard to be a Teenager but she had a Beautiful Pup 🐶 to help this Young Lady to grow. Thanks for Sharing Family Enjoyed and Blessings 🙏❤️🥰😇🐕

Dear Mum and Dad. Starfish and I are running away (/walking away with determination). Her parents must have had a panicked 60 minutes upon reading that note! Glad to hear that Starfish is doing so well. Can't believe someone just threw her away like rubbish.

Maggie and all her siblings are definitely raised right by their parents 👍 Amazing family for sure! And with starfish, they’re learning how persistence, love, compassion, courage, and commitment to something someone worthwhile can elevate one’s life.

This young lady and her family but especially her are what the world desperately needs more of. She did everything that had to be done to give that animal all the love and inspiration that it wanted and needed and deserved. I've watched a lot of dog rescue recoveries and I have to say this one was especially inspirational. Thank you so much for not giving up on her. If more people were like you, this world would be a better place.

Its a fucking dog mate, they are thrilled to pieces smelling buttholes all day. What I learned was that if you're loved just for being you and given excellent healthcare things turn out pretty well. Now if only everyone was treated so well then maybe the world wouldn't be so shitty.

My dog had puppies a few years back. One of them called brownie had this syndrome. Poor thing.. She was the runt of the litter.. she'd died a couple weeks later 💔. Bless this dog and rest in peace brownie...
