German Shepard’s turn their head like that a lot when they don’t understand something, mine does all the time and my other 2 dogs don’t

This makes me nervous that in a decade or so people will be trying to breed mini German Shepherds

I really really hope people don’t start breeding with dwarfs. He’s really cute, like really really really cute, but I feel like this will be the next things breeders are gonna look for, because they are so cute

I have a cat like this. Almost exactly. Has seizures and hair loss and never grew out of the kitten shape. Doc told us not to expect him to live long. He's 9 years old now. On meds. He's a fine little fellow.

I'm so glad to see this story because I have a dwarf husky named Sammy. He was born with 10 pure breed husky siblings and he was the last born. Just the story he just didn't grow as fast as the others and he seemed to take a little more time to achieve milestones. I took him to the vet to see what was going on and that's when the vet told us he is a dwarf! Sammy is currently 6lbs and the vet estimates he’ll be 12 to 15lbs full grown. He is so amazing and enjoys learning new things every day.

I did not know that dogs can have dwarfism.... Welp everyday has a new learning..I guess

I love how they gave him a big dog name like "Ranger" and then he grew up to be this tiny floof ball. I also really appreciate the owners warning people not to just see his "cute face" and understand that dogs with dwarfism might not all turn out as healthy and happy as Ranger. That's really responsible of them. A lot of times people come on the Dodo like "look at this cute deformity my dog/cat/whatever has" and fail to warn people about the health issues that come with deformities, even "cute" ones.

So freaking cute I am a huge dog & cat lover. I grew up a dog lover as we had amazing dogs in our family & thought cats were cool but it never crossed my mind to adopt a cat. Then I fell in love with my roommates cat & now I am a crazy cat daddy. I love all cats & dogs & I am thankful for all those who work with & advocate for our pets. Also, the people who adopt & care for special needs cats & dogs are amazing. Anyway, I do have a special place in my heart for golden retrievers, border collies & German Shepards. German Shepards are so smart & fiercely loyal as everyone knows. This puppy is ridiculously cute. Although we love them as big dogs, sometimes you just wish they could stay as they were as a puppy or kitten. This little German Shepard’s playful personality & mannerisms are so freaking cute I can’t take it. Thank you to all the pet parents providing forever homes out there. Thanks to all the animal workers from the veterinarians to the shelter volunteers & thanks to all those who make cat & dog videos that advocate for cats & dogs, & increases adoption awareness. There are lots of people that spend their free time & money caring for strays or colonies - you are all amazing. Our pets are gifts & one of the greatest treasures in this life. They can make a crappy day ok. I really believe that they can help us lead happier lives. We might save them, but they save us every day. Big thanks to the Dodo. Your vids always make me smile & happy.

We have a little cat that stopped growing at around 8 weeks old, but nobody told her, and she is very much the alpha cat. Like the dog in the video, she never grew into her ears, so they look huge on her tiny head. We have a forever kitten, and she's absolutely adorable!

Thank you for sharing this video. We had a Yorkie puppy who was the runt of a litter. I know that’s not close to a German shepherd but he had some health issues because of it. We didn’t breed him because we just wanted him to have a good long life, that’s what was important to us. So I hope your dog has the same. I believe mixing breeds or wanting dwarfs dogs can be dangerous, some people don’t think about the health risks involved and they should. Anyway, hope your well and your dog too! Take care!

I know all about this. I had a dwarf German Shepherd. His top weight was 24 pounds. He had the same issues as this sweet baby boy. Looked almost exactly the same too. His name was Morgan because he walked like a Morgan horse. He was loving, sweet, proud and lived with me for 14 years. My sweet sweet sweet Morgan.❤

Some people just say they would love to have him aren't misinformed, they just see a cute dog acting cute and being happy.

He reminds me of special needs pets that just attract you to them despite their health issues and despite that their lifespans may be shorter than most pets that are healthy. German Shepards usually grow up in size but not usually in personality, I have a 10 or 11 year old German Shepard and he still acts like a huge baby, I love doggies❤️❤️

Dwarfs need love too! This pup is so cute. I have a cat who just wasn't growing, she's 4 years old and so tiny. The Vet said she's probably a dwarf but is very healthy. I love my tiny grown cat, I always say my Kimi is little but fierce, LOL. My other 2 cat's are considerably larger but Kimi is the alpah, My little gangster.
