I keep getting pushed to online date. I didn't expect to be widowed suddenly in my 40s, after 23 yrs of marriage. I already had the right one, my perfect match, the one I fit with perfectly. I agree with the dating expert advice , but this is experience talking, maybe we shouldn't be afraid of being rejected...it's part of the process of find someone who alignes after all. Take your time finding one, lol. In addition, I hate swipe and reject looks app--it's just one form of attraction in my opinion , and dating apps do a terrible job of capturing the art of find someone real truth--which also takes time

I agree with Alicia & Drew about already showing interest by just matching and the men needing to set up the approach. It’s not old fashioned, it’s the idea that a quality masculine man who is interested will take the time to make an effort for a high quality feminine woman. It sets the tone for the rest of the relationship in who is the assertive doer in the relationship. Especially with busy high profile women, they need someone who can not only keep up but take care of the things sometimes.

I told my partner if I was to become single now i would just stay single. Damn it's tough to date online. I hated it. Lol i met my wife online actually. She was a breath of fresh air. She was straight to the point and I loved it. Told me straight up that she would like kids and if it's not something I want then let's keep it moving. My reply was only if you were to carry our baby. 16 months later we were pregnant. Made me raise my game. Lol she still does. My true love indeed.

I learned about the narcissist in 3 dates. Is it me, is it them, conclusion. Long list = red flag, usually unrealistic and selfish expectations. Nobody should have anything but a short must have list, the rest should be nice to have, but can be bend if needed. Only privileged women have a long list of must or mustn't have, and it's a big read flag for sure.
