It wasn't so much an interview, but a conversation. A human conversation - full of honesty made through an authentic connection. Nice to see the deeper layers of Colson Baker, his vulnerability. I was left with a tear in my eye. This is how you continue to build a fan base. The publicist should be proud.

There is something really special about drew being so honest and vulnerable herself, in the way that she can connect with anyone (us as viewers, celebrities)… because she sees everyone as human and deserving of being cared for. I love that MGK painted Reagan’s nails and included her in the conversation. He’s the same as drew. Someone might see a monster but he sees a girl. He knows what it’s like to be ignored or viewed incorrectly by others. Colson, if you ever read the comments, please know you don’t need to smile for us. We accept your dark and your light. And drew, we accept your burps 😉

It’s interesting how the interview started compared to where it finished. Kells expressing he wasn’t feeling so great. Starting off kind of closed off. But towards the end smiling, making jokes, and just being himself. Drew is a MAGICAL human and it shows in her interviews

Can't stay stuck in the past, gotta make the future great for your own.❤ We never had Christmas growing up, it's been so nice and different celebrating and decorating the last 6 years since my son was born. I lost my dad at the end of 2018, and Hotel Diablo really helped get me through of some really dark places caused by grief (and previous traumas in life). I felt MGK’s pain and vulnerability in his songs, which allowed me to acknowledge my pain. In some ways it was life saving, and I’m super grateful for that. That’s why I’m so glad to see him be this open about his pain, especially in the wake of his dad’s loss (because I know that pain so damn well). And amazing AF for Drew to have this conversation too. We should all be this willing to have these conversations with each other.
