Plasma and Dogma are the coolest Destiny Heroes in Aster's deck though Malicious deserved a honorable mention despite not being used heavily in the anime.

Aster suffered from the same treatment Akiza did, where he had a.strong start, not only as duelist but also as a character And then in later seasons it all crumbled, as.not only did they not duel as much, but they were pretty much just side characters Still, Destiny Heroes are my favorite deck, and the one that I build irl despite me not playing yugioh

I like that such an old card as Plasma is so super strong with very balanced summoning conditions. Its probably my favorite Yugioh card.

Destiny Heroes are kind like vigilante type of heroes and a complete opposite of the Elemental Heroes but that’s my interpretation

I still maintain Aster was the best character to come out of the GX series. Jaden's entire arc around growing up was good and all, but Aster's dealing with trauma and finding ways to move through it and start to heal just hit so much better. He felt so much more grounded and real. And he was definitely right about the Destiny Heroes being the superior ones 😌

I am always amused at how most of the Destiny Heroes' Japanese names are "[Adjective starting with D] Guy" like "Die Hard Guy" (Captain Tenacious), "Deadly Guy" (Dangerous), and "Doom Guy" (Fear Monger). Also, Plasma's Japanese name being "Bloo-D."

2:40 I think one could just amend the fusion requirements to simply use 1 “HERO” fusion monster + 1 “Destiny Hero” monster (or vice versa) and that would make it MUCH better.

Dark angel is one of those incredibly specific, situational counters who happens to never be used again😅 Also, Dreadmaster, Disk Commander and Destiny Draw were very important too.

Destiny hero are anti hero version of elemental hero that’s the consensus while aster and them can be harsh they genuinely do it to people who deserve it similar to how yami yugi was in season 0 but obviously not that dark

Thanks for making this! It was a nice and informative guide to some of the destiny heroes and how they were important for Aster and in the actual game. He's such an underrated character that the animes shafted pretty unfairly at times (especially Arc-V), so this was nice to see.

I want so much some retrains for the og destiny Heros, and I hope if this happens it helps the deck to be a deck and not just an engine for Hero decks

I really love how DPE is a combination of Plasma and Phoenix Enforcer but it was so unfortunate that it power crept Dystopia out of HERO decks. Dystopia makes deck building more fun because it's a bit tricky to change its ATK outside of kinda clunky D-HEROes from the ARC-V era. During the early link era, I built a HERO deck that has Borreload Dragon to decrease its ATK. And later on, HERO decks could also opt for Isolde and Phoenix Blade. Even strategies that involve Saryuja can incidentally boost Dystopia's ATK.

Is it just me or is it weird that the D hero archetype didn’t have but like one fusion throughout the GX anime? Like, we need more D hero fusions

Top 10 cards better in real life than in the anime/manga

All these destiny hero do well in a pure deck. Since most vision and destiny ended up as engine for elemental and mask hero fusion. As destiny hero pure deck do well as dragoon, dogma, dreadmaster, dystopia, dpe, dominance being played with the help of d-tactics. Dreadmaster is your protection, Dogma is the burner, dragoons is the floodgate and dpe and dystopia are removers. To have all the monsters effect to go off you would need dreadmaster to protect all your destiny.

If we're including both Arc-V and GX Edo Phoenix cards on one list, that will definitely make things easier for when we get to Jack Atlas and my boy, Kaito. Though, Red Demon's Dragon and Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon will and probably should still take the #1 spots on their respective lists over Red Demon's Dragon Scarlight and Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon due to much more screen time.
