Lech Austria : Lech is one of Austria's main attractions for the rich and famous. From royalty to business leaders, from sports stars to film producers, the ski resort of Lech is a favourite luxury hotel hideaway for the wealthier classes.
But that reputation alone is misleading. As well as hotels catering to their clients' every whim, Lech has family-run hotels that won't break the budget.
And for every flattering and groomed piste, there is a tricky bump run or ski route that will test the keenest of mortal skiers. It is easily possible to have a "normal" ski holiday in Lech, a title is not strictly necessary!

Even though have been at Lech a couple of times it's usually a "driving through" village.. the road dominates it so badly. 😐But that doesn't diminish its value as a hub to visit area.. just take a smaller hotel/BB/garni a bit further from centrum. Nearby meadows are "heidiland" level enjoyment! Day time walks at the centrum might not be so enjoyable, but later at the evening... 😊 Thank You for sharing! 👍

@@TheFlyingDutchMan8K Yeah! Gorge road to Warth is one to do! Cycled few times it and if not high traffic it’s a bliss! Both ways.. 😍 and going to St. Anton or Bludenz, first through the tunnels then followed Arlberg pass is another; especially at sun rise or set! Wow!

No hotel owner lives there. They go on holiday all year round and let the employees work for them. The whole thing is an overpriced Disney World! Every spring, flower seeds are scattered on the ski slopes to give guests the illusion of a perfect world..

@@TheFlyingDutchMan8K Absolutely not! Prices in Lech are higher than in Switzerland. The Swiss are also friendlier and more grateful. The people of Lech see their village as a pure money machine and the guests as cash cows.
