If they are rebooting The Office (and I pray they're not because I don't want that perfect finale ruined), then of course John wouldn't get a call. Jim and Pam both left Dunder-Mifflin and moved to Austin, TX so Jim could rejoin Athleap and Pam could pursue her art. They'd have to have both Jim and Pam fail at their dreams so they could be driven back to Dunder-Mifflin as a last resort, and I don't know about you guys, but I don't want to see Jim and Pam made to be miserable like that.
