I fear (and suspect) that Angelina didn't do better in the final because Simon couldn't sign her - so he promoted another winner.

AGT did not take it down. Angelina had control of her version and copyrighted to her company Angelina Jordan INC. she and her company requested it.

People really need to stop repeating this story. It has no basis in truth and it’s origins can only be found in people’s imaginations. There is a well publicized interview by a Norwegian music industry site with Michael Astar, Angelina’s uncle and business manager. The link is below. He explains that they had not agreed for Angelina to go on the show specifically because they weren’t willing to sign away any of her rights. While the story doesn’t state this, I’m pretty sure that Simon Cowell is not an idiot, and he understands how things work in the music business. He is a businessman. Angelina had and incredible following of huge names in the music industry, including Quincy Jones and David Foster, maybe THE two most influential folks in that world. Angelina had nothing to gain by signing her rights away, unlike most contestants who are desperate for exposure. Simon is capable of figuring that out. Her uncle states that the show eventually agreed to “give me a contract where Angelina is free from any deal if she performs”. Simon Cowell was well aware, long before she first uttered the words “Anywhere the wind blows” that she was not going to be bound to sign a contract with him. Cowell doesn’t hide his feelings very well, and from where I sat, every single time he was shown during or after one of her performances, he was in awe. She was there because he wanted her to perform on the show. There is another video by John Master Lee (“React to the World“ channel) where he provides a pretty rational explanation of why her Bohemian Rhapsody performance most likely wasn’t posted on the AGT channel and debunking the myth that this was something that only happened to Angelina Jordan. He also has a series of videos exposing the theatrics and manipulation by the producers of that show, but just to be clear, one thing he never says is that the votes are fixed. That’s where we start getting into tinfoil hat-wearing conspiracy territory. And we don’t need to invoke that to explain why Angelina didn’t win or even finish in the top five. The “super fans” are frankly a bunch People magazine-toting TV addicts (OK I might be projecting a little there but that’s the image I have of them) who don’t really have a clue and get really excited by circus acts - including circus acts where a man sings as both a tenor and a soprano - and sob stories. I’ve done it myself, too many times to want to admit. But we need to think carefully about the sources behind things that we post here. We have a tendency to post things because somebody else said them. Again, I’ve done it. Stories get twisted and perverted along the way. And then our understanding of Angelina’s universe becomes based more on fiction and fantasy than fact. @@mrpeppery Thank you for being the voice of reason! The fan fiction has really gotten out of hand when it comes to AGT. I actually think the true story, as told by Michael Astar, is a better one. It shows that Angelina is in good hands, and she is going to need that in the years to come.

@@xartisan576 I completely agree. It’s also a testament to the influence she already had in the industry, just by virtue of her talent. It’s not just anyone who can dictate those kinds of terms to a television powerhouse like AGT. And Simon said it himself. She made that show better just by being there.

Actually, Angelina refused to sign Simon's SyCo Music/AGT contract. All the judges knew from the start of the auditions that she wouldn't be able to win.

I couldn't have said it better, you're right on spot with that comment, and yes!! to have that treasure right in front of you but somehow you can't reach it, it feels like is in another dimension that you can see but can't touch hahaha well said.

Love Angelina for that alone.

A true artist on the making. Let's hope her record label keeps her essence and talent and not change it to make her more commercial in order to make money.

Just curious where info on her height is coming from (besides just being passed from one commenter to another)? Terry Crews on AGT is 6'2" (from several online biosources), so with shoes around 6'3"? Standing next to Angelina, he was far more than 3 inches taller. According to several online bio's, both Heidi and Simon are 5'9" without heels. Every time her height is mentioned, it seems to get taller and taller... It doesn't really matter but I would like a more definitive answer before hearing about her super height. Lately, I've heard everything from 5'4" to 6'1". I would put her at around 5'9" to 5"10" at the most. Regardless, she's the best singer in the world!!
