Hey!! I was shocked when I looked up how to make an apron and the first one I came to was this one! I’m shocked due to the fact that I was raised in Ephrata! What a wonderful surprise! I loved the video and your explanation is wonderful. I do not sew well but I think I can do this. Thank you so much! BTW…I graduated in 1984!!❤

These are very similar to Jenny Doan's tea towel aprons. I've probably made a dozen. But I'm re-inspired by how much shorter yours are (I'm 5'0 tall), AND the adorable fussy cut pockets!❤

How wide is the fabric that you are using. Cause using 44 inch wide fabric u can't cut to 25 inches unless you open up the fabric or am I missing something. Please.

Yes you open up the yard of fabric and cut a piece out measuring 36" X 25" do it for the front and the lining. the leftover fabric is for making the ties. Hope this helps

When you say prewash does that mean wash & machine dry? If machine drying, what setting would you use for cotton & cotton canvas and do you deal with run away strings afterward?

Just warm water is ok. Medium dryer. Just to make sure there are no surprises when it is constantly laundered. Like with an apron or pajamas.

I have the same question because I made 2 and the tops came out different widths because of folding the corners in to center points at different location in centers(?) I don’t know if it matters, I don’t have a child to check the fit.
