Crime in Alice Springs has hit boiling point recently following riots in the CBD. An emergency youth curfew has been put in place and 60 extra police sent to the city. Alice Springs has long struggled with youth crime. Back in 2015, a community vigilante group was trying to combat the problem, but how would it work? Would it work without community support? And what would residents think of the method now? This doco is from the Feed archives - from 2015.

Hey there @TradieTrev, we’ve released many docos over the last 12 months, including one that won a Walkley - Australia’s most prestigious journalism prize - in October. We are working in a different digital landscape to nine years ago, and with a tighter team - you can see regular short-form content from us on our Instagram and TikTok profiles, and we publish new articles every week on the Feed website. I remember Michael Gunner, back in 2015/2016, telling us all how Labor had solutions to mitigate the problems in Alice Springs and remote communities. I sit here now, some nine years later, and wonder when they are going to start applying those solutions.
