A lot of these i think there is no wrong or right its just which strategy suits you. For me when it reaches a price I sell when it is low I go in again. Just do what you are comfortable with.

just buy the magnificent 7 and keep for 5 years and longer. no need to attend any classes or follow any guru. be focus and don't waste time diversified into dividends stocks/REITS. if you want dividends, just buy the 3 local banks. no need to worry about DPU, REITS issues, political headwinds. The best investment is those that you don't need to do much monitoring. Follow the KISS principle.

Just sharing - if portfolio is small, less than 20k, concentrate 5-8 growth stocks. Reason is even if you get it wrong, active income can easily recover the loss. However if mid 6-figure portfolio, the thinking would be different. It’s about wealth accumulation vs wealth preservation.

I just want my money to keep outgrowing the inflation rate. That’s why I'm looking for companies now to invest about 150k i have parked in the bank. Just don't know strategies to employ to make solid cashflow.

Time is the biggest asset that most people squander. You really only have 5 chances from age 25 to embark upon a low risk 30 year investment journey towards financial independence. After that, it's certainly possible but gets harder the longer you leave it

In current global financial situations, how about dividends paying mutual funds (fixed income) that comprises 100% AAs bonds or 60% AAs bonds with 40% equity exposure for example ? These pay 7%+ dividends and should the FED rates go down the bonds dividends would increase (bond prices go up with interest rates go down, likely end of this year or next year)). In current USA stock market highs and uncertainties, bonds are essential because of their "cash-like" stability and liquidity factors.

We mentioned Singapore Savings Bonds which are very stable and liquid, but have no potential for price appreciation. Yes, someone could also consider investment-grade bonds with the view that the Fed could cut rates and, as a result, push bond prices up.

Is there some tips for us in defining the crisis, as in now we are definitely in a boom market, waiting for a good opportunity to deploy our capital, but how do you actually decide when is the time to enter the market with a “good price”? Like drop 5%, 10%, 20% from the highest price?

You can usually tell when the entire market is in a crisis; COVID-19 was one example. More typically, you will wait for a stock to be undervalued based on valuation metrics, not just its price.

China is not in crisis. The government is implementing measures to bring the property sector back though it will take sometime. Overall 2024 GDP will grow about 5% perhaps 5.5% if not due to property sector. Consumer confidence will gradually come back.

Hi Rusmin, just want to know your opinion on HK tracker fund - do you have an entry and cut off price ie a price that makes this etf too expensive to invest in? Also you mention 2 singapore stocks both are REITs - doesn’t this mean that you are not diversified enough?

We can look at an index's historical valuation as a gauge. The Hang Seng Index is currently trading around 10 times earnings, when its historical average is 14. Like we illustrated in the video, each REIT only has a 5% allocation in the example portfolio.

100K all in in DBS bank, at current SP, 2801 shares at 54 cents a share dividend, $1512.54 qtrly, $6050.16 annually, reinvest the divvy compound for 25 is $433K . Yield will increase overtime n not counting SP appreciation…

Totally wrong when you consider that when i/r decreases NIM will decrease and the stock will go down. Why buy it when it is a bull market for dbs.
