It would be nice for TFL to help with the R&D. FM are good engineers, no doubt, but they are probably amateur riders compared to TFL team.

Great first impressions. Love the feedback a lot of the initial concerns you guys have for a casual rider like myself I don’t feel will be a huge issue but for riders like you guys I can see the possible problems these can cause. Can’t wait to get mine next week.

Don’t. Get the XR. Read the numerous problems with the GT. Including bricking, one single service center, and DOA to multiple customers if not most.

This video left me feeling a lot more optimistic about it than Jake's negative thoughts video. Definitely looks like it has a few kinks that need to be worked out but overall I'm still very excited to get my feet on it soon.

When you send the trails and get into a tail drag, try to lean into it and straighten out again. XR couldn't do it but I have a feeling the GT can. See what happens... we need to know!🥰

Awesome video guys! So weird that you only got the beep in Flow ride mode... Rocking back and forth when stationary requires the most amps (motor amps, not battery amps), so the beep could be an indicator that you've maxed out your torque. That makes me wonder if they lower the max amps when changing ride modes??

11:38 - Isn’t pushback based on motor-burden first, and speed second? I WANT to feel pushback. Im a heavier rider, so I think I should feel pushback before 20mph. 15:37 - I had the same thought about the tire stiffness for durability over time, so I appreciate that being pointed out! SO so so excited for my GT! Coming from an XR, and this is looking to have everything I wanted. I don’t do ticks, Im not a speed demon, I just like to cruise, and I’d venture to guess the majority of people just enjoy to cruise as well. So all I really want is a ride that inspires more confidence and safety… which means more torque, good noticeable pushback, and more range. Also the thing looks SO sexy. Great video :)

Actually the way FM chose to do it is to make it purely speed based. They pushback long before the motor gets close to any limits to ensure consistency. On a Pint it's really obvious. Kids hit pushback at the same speed as heavy adults

I love my 4206 XR but I think the added “safe” speed up to 20 without pushback is going to change how fast I cruise on it. Can’t wait for the trails edit.

Great review, lots of good info. Did you disassemble that board before this ride, or at least the mag-handle? If so, wondering if something got left out or not tightened. I haven't heard any other boards rattle like that.

Looking forward to a build quality video. I would love to take my XR to the beach like they advertise... but then they say "don't go through puddles" "we're not responsible for any damage you do [at the beach]". Is this model better water sealed? Easier to pull apart? I changed my tire once, and wasn't confident with putting it back together (though managed it watching your videos)

I really wanna get a GT but for me who lives in Europe the cost to send it to US for a tire change would end up close to 1000$ with shipping. As soon as third party tires become available I will buy one but there’s no telling when that will be. FM must make it more accessible for all of us who doesn’t live in the states. So cool to see you riding it and there’s no limit to my envy 😄 can’t wait for the trail video

@@NIGHTWHEEL... as I understand it the problem is that the GT has a special design tire that is made specifically for FM. The older models had go cart style tires so you could buy them practically everywhere. So for us in Europe we have to wait and see if there is any third party manufacturers that makes a similar tire with the same measurements. When and if that comes I’m buying a gt.

I hope the beep truly is an indication of the battery/motor not keeping up vs a speed warning. I don’t need to know when I’m going too fast, I can already tell that. I want to know when motor is going to give out when accelerating uphill on low battery, etc.

The powrr usage at any given moment changes because of many variables l, a warning like that would likely be too late. Best to learn to feel the motor instead. Up hills is ALWAYS a danger zone, but that should be obvious as it is very very hard to walk up very steep hills. And it's easy to lean out the front, if you don't learn to ride onewhel correctly. Nowadays it's talk about fangs and more power from a new board, instead of talk about learning to ride correctly, so you don't end up on the onewheel crash group. Shame
