Starting off the Oregon 2023 Duck Season with a trip to a local public refuge with my kayak aka Marsh Rat. With a calm afternoon but wind in the forecast, we set off in the kayaks and paddled out on the marsh. A quick limit came to for-wishing and ended up with a Gadwall leg band among the 4 duck species.

5 yr old band and it was banded about 40 miles from where I shot it. Pretty crazy to kill it relatively close to home 5 years later.

What kind of motion decoy do you use?

They use the whiplash by decoy dancer. Strand makes them

Are you only on in Oregon never in Washington state Eastern Washington Columbia river very very good by Patterson Washington but I guess you don't go that much in that area... Good hunting
