think you forgot to mention the biggest tragedy in Greek ootball history which happened in the match Olympiacos - AEK...The day was 8 pf February 1981 and Olympiacos was winning 6-0 against AEK in Georgios Karaiskakis stadium..After the match ended the fans in gate 7 rushed out of the stadium to celebrate the victory but they found the doors locked...thus 21 fans lost their life and 54 were injured in front of those locked gates...Αδέρφια ζειτε εσεις μας οδηγειτε

I remember the Port Said game just like yesterday, I was a kid and I was upset that Al Ahly was losing so when things happened and the match got interrupted I was kinda relieved.. In retrospect, the Burnden Park disaster was a warning of what could happen in future unless something was done. Like Hillsborough, too many people were packed into a small area and spectators paid for it with their lives. The site of the ground, nowadays a supermarket, has a plaque commemorating all of those who died that terrible day
