For those seeking to disable the Motion Smoothing: To disable it: Press and hold the Home button on your voice remote while playing video. Select Picture from the Quick Access menu, then select Advanced Options. Select Motion Smoothing, then choose Bypass to turn it off.

Thanks for the settings! What about settings for Dolby Vision and PS5? BTW when you showed the controller you forgot to edit out the outtakes!

thank you for letting me know. I removed the outtake! and for Dolby Vision and PS5, I will share it in another video. PS5 I would recommend gaming mode to reduce input lag if playing FPS.

great review, been checking new tv's out for the last month. Have a 10+ yr old sony bravia 46" HD 1080p (and still working great) looking to retire. you just narrowed my list down, but looking at the u6hf 58". well done demonstration & review!!

Did you figure it out? I just got the TV and can't find the setting either. Edit. Figured it out. Have to set the TV to game mode to turn off the motion effect.

Thank you! Hard to say without a side by side but I would go with the Hisense for better mixed use purposes and maybe the TCL for only gaming. For gaming. TCL has VRR and freesync which is good for gaming but the Hisense has hdmi 2.1 (TCL has 2.0) which is needed to fully optimize ps5 and Xbox x games.

When I increase the brightness while the TV is playing a movie, it causes the screen to have a white filter over it. How can I fix this? It’s driving me crazy

I've heard you can get better sound using the Fire 4k Max stick instead of this TV's OS. Is this true I already have a 4K Max stick so would I be better off using the 4K Max stick? I've read you can start this TV in Basic mode at first setup no internet and then connect the 4K Max stick. Does this sound better if I already have the 4k Max stick but want this TV or should I change to the TV Fire OS. Can the included remote be programmed to change volume on a Home theatre receiver like Fire sticks remotes can do? If using one of the other outputs like Xbox or Blu-ray player how do you change the picture settings because it looks like the TV settings are inside the internal Fire OS..maybe I wrong there idk Thanks for any info!

I have this model with Google TV and it automatically detects 4k and whatever other UHD formats, such as Dolby.

Is this TV Dolby Atmos compatable via eARC? I have a Atmos system and want to take advantage of it

In case anyone needs to know. The firetv version does not have Dolby Atmos. The Google version does and is a better overall tv. I have experience with both versions of the TV.

I purchased the 58" U6HF model and enjoying the picture quality so far. The only thing I'm noticing is the dark corners (All 4 corners). I mostly see it when the screen is completely white or light colored. I believe some call it vignetting. Are any of you also experiencing this? And is this normal for this TV?

You can clearly see this in effect within the first 30 seconds of this video. It's a pretty common occurrence on these sets. Unfortunately, not much you can do about it, they don't have lighting in the corners.

Brightness at MAX and Color at near Max? I don't think so. I'm using at default value and it is already too bright and saturated.

Hi! It also depends on the room you are using it in. In a dark room, you do not need max brightness

The brightness at 35 was unusable for me even in a bright room, I'm just wondering if anybody else has this same issue? Also does anybody know if this tv supports g-sync for nvidia gpus?

Hi! I have not had that issue unless the angle and light was very reflective. But in that setup even treated panels like my sony x95 / x90, LG c2 have issues. U6 does have freesync on certain sizes and VRR.

Rtings found some problems with this thing. You didn't? I really don't know who to trust here. I mean it's $339. I imagine the Fire UI is terrible, right? I don't know. The Google TV version is a $40 more.

No issues here. It's 339 as of 2/8/23....hard to beat price on a bright budget panel. I prefer this os over my TCL. Do I wish the motion processing was better sometimes, yes but it's probably not noticeable for most people. The Fire TV os works like any firestick. It's not an LG c2 or Sony x95k but those panels are 4-6x the price.
