Ok, since I bought them after watching your video, I am just going to say this: almost everything you've said considering the sound is not true. These are not so loud. In fact, my older Soundpeats Truefree are louder. The first thing I noticed when I started using them is that they feel like two mini speakers in your ears; the sound isn't in front and around you so much, but it's more focused in your ears. That means the soundstage is quite narrow. The dynamic range isn't great and the frequency response is weird and lacking in the 125-500Hz part. The resulting sound lacks warmth, even though they do have that bass kick/thump in the lower part. Also, there seems to be a weird peak at 4kHz (that which you call a "sparkle") which makes music with more treble sound harsh and unpleasant. I've managed to get this under control with EQ, but nothing actually helped in making them sound more fun. They are very detailed in the middle and high range, clean and crisp, but they simply aren't fun to listen to like the Truefrees (with a slightly lowered bass on the EQ). If anything stands out with these earphones, it's the comfort and how easy they are to put in the ears. The Truefrees are bulky and tend to get uncomfortable after long time, but the bulk in Truengine SE is located outside the concha and you almost don't feel wearing them. That's a huge plus. It's funny how much euphemisms and vague statements can be found in the majority of YT reviews, including this one. This isn't a critical review and you didn't thoroughly test these earphones you're presenting here. It seems like you didn't even compare them to other models. In short, the Truengine SE are NOT sooooo worth it. The Truefrees are much better for almost 2x lower price. "All three frequencies are being pushed up to the point where you're getting the most out of them" - what does that even mean? What three frequencies? And how can you get more out of "frequencies" if you push them all up? If you push everything up, the dynamic range stays the same, you haven't changed anything other than loudness. "This could easily be a $100 earbud and nobody would question it." - uh... no.

Hey! Thanks for your comment, I actually wanted to buy this pair but I wasn't sure. So, definitely not going to buy these! Question: I want to buy an inexpensive pair of earbuds for small ears, which I can use at the gym and also frequently use to accept phone calls. Which one would you recommend me to purchase? I would genuinely appreciate your advice!
@bloodchilde
@bloodchilde 4 жыл бұрын
@@samuelamaral7989 Hi... The thing is, nobody can give you a solid suggestion with the earphones in the range up to $50. Everybody experiences sound differently, so you are, like myself, cursed to search through different models until you find something that suits you. Having said that, I only did test the Soundpeats Truengine and Truefree and compared them to my Samsung stock wired AKG EO-IG955 which I like very much. The Truefrees start to sound great when you lower everything below 500Hz by one step in the Galaxy S10 EQ settings and in this way they get very close to the wired AKGs. To me, they are very well worth the money because they are fun and I enjoy using them much more than the pricier Truengine SE. If I'd discovered the EQ trick sooner, I would never go and spend extra money on the Truengine. I hope this helps you.
@bloodchilde
@bloodchilde 4 жыл бұрын
@@perfectlyimperfect953 Sorry, I can't give a solid recommendation because I haven't had the chance to test other models myself. I can only tell you about aforementioned Soundpeats models. If you need something that fits better in smaller ears, I think the Truengine SE would suit you more because the bulk of their body is hanging outside my ears and they are still firmly seated inside my ear canal. They are more comfortable too. I haven't tested the call quality with the Truengine SE, but I believe it's better than the Truefree's. The Truefrees are not so good for taking calls and in louder environment it can be frustrating. You can listen to call audio samples in some reviews here on YT. The sound quality for me, however, is better with the Truefree. I don't believe the audio quality doesn't suffer when you try to shrink down the whole package. Edit: take a look at Fiil T1 X.

After 21days of waiting, the soundpeats finally arrived. Even though I'm more of a under $20 kind of guy. Its because of this review video, I made a decision to up my budget by $15. I paid $35 for the soundpeats truengine se. I like to use my earbuds with multiple devices and I believe many of us do to. Just to share with the community here on what I think after using it with 3 different devices. Samsung Note 9 Exynos - Aptx Codec - Atmos (on) 2 clicks to bass heavy - Volume at the last click of the safe zone. - TBH the volume is kind of a let down, cause its actually softer compared to the Haylou GT1 Pro upgraded version. With the Haylou, I can get the same volume with 2 clicks lower than on the soundpeats truegine se. Clarity is more or less the same comparing the both. The bass on the soundpeats is a winner but not by far, it does have a little bit more thump and its a little bit more define. Ipad 2018 - The volume here is slightly louder but still softer comparing to the Haylou. Again the clarity is more or less the same. The bass on soundpeats wins here, the rumbling is so good!!. Its much more define and it doesn't muddy out the clarity. Sounds great on spotify - Your Favourite Coffeehouse playlist. Mac Mini late 2014 - Boom Audio 3D - Ambience Mode - Music Setting on EQ - Here the soundpeats really really shines. It could be the Boom Audio 3D is doing a great job but I think its cause the soundpeats is capable of projecting the signals. Volume here is definitively louder, clarity is definitely clearer, the bass is just awesome here. Lastly, on the latency. There's a little bit of lag while watching youtube on chrome on the mac mini. On the samsung note 9 and ipad 2018, using the youtube app, there's no noticeable latency at all. I'm no reviewer by any chance, leave that to the pro (Gamesky) but I hope my experiences here is able to help the community. Stay Home, Stay Safe!

Just got my SE's, but will have to return them due to fit. I really liked that the case was light, and that the earpieces snapped magnetically into the charging case very easily - much better than the Mifo o5 which no one mentions can be finicky to start charging. I also liked the touch controls - again, also better than the o5 in that regard. I'm afraid though that the fit didn't work for me personally.

I just got it and everything feels great. the earbuds and case both feels rather premium, connectivity was great as I still had a good connection even when my phone was on an entirely different floor meaning that it had to go through a cement ceiling and cement wall. i took this for a jog and it didn't fall off but due to the bulgy nature of the buds, it just doesn't feel as tight/snug( if that made any sense). pairing is really painless after the initial setting. it auto pairs to each other and to your phone without hassle and auto switch off once you placed it back in the box. The one thing to note is that, the bluetooth itself have a volume control that is entirely separated from your phone and the only way to access it( at least on my phone) is to double tap the left side to lower it or double tap the right side to raise it. this was not apparent on my phone's bluetooth setting. also due to the tap being an actual button and not a touch pad, it feels a little awkward to me and requires some getting used to. All in all, i am quite happy with my purchase and i think that most people would be happy with this.

Just got these, I was really excited when I got them, they are a fair price and the sound seems very clear (good treble for melodic songs, bass not too strong but seems controlled to where it never distorts)..Main thing is the volume on these are unusually low no matter what device you are using it on...I know wireless ear buds do tend to be not as loud as wire ear buds but this is to another level, the max sound on these are so low to the point that it's annoying and I ended up just going back to my beats...on the pros, they pair easier than beats, no audio delay on videos, nice charging case and ideal for working out...I just can't get over how low the sound is, tho. 3/5

I got the pair to replace my Jabra Elite 65Ts. Those broke and have been dying for a while now, but these are considerably more… compressed. In fact I’m super surprised, the 65T’s are in a whole ‘nother ballpark for sound. Of course there’s a 100 dollar difference but the compression is r e a l l y noticeable. Of course I freak out over my audio and spent way too much on my Desktop Setup, but it is something I’d like to point out. However, for the price I’m damn pleased with these. I’m gonna say they do not at all compete with the high end for sound, and that the biggest issue is definitely audio compression (even with aptX on in my DAP).

Hi, wanna give a 1.5 y/o heavy user's review. Still sounds as good as in first day. Ofc, there isn't a big sound stage but for a normie like me - it's pretty good. Some flaws that I wanna address: - Sometimes headphones are throwing a fit and won't connect automatically, a bit annoyin but tolerable - Will take some time to get used to since you almost have to screw them in, you can't share them because they will fall from other people ears -Battery life has depleted about 20-30% which is in norm. -Meshes will fall one day (if you clean them and you should) so grab 20pc sheet of replacement ones and a pair of tweezers. -Charging pins will wear out so you have to fiddle them a bit for them to charge. Otherwise they will still be connected. Overall, they have gotten a bit tedious to use but for the sound and price they still are worth it!

Tevi was a lot better for me. These are huge and heavy and the sound is pretty good just a little bit murky at the low ends(lows are strong), mids are kinda muted while the highs are bright but kinda far away. But then, I think these are half the price of the Tevis.

Anyone know if these are better than the soundpeats Q12, I read a review on amazon saying that the q12 were slightly better but I’m not sure if I’ll make a call based on that, I also have to keep in mind that the sound peats q12 hold 55 hours vs this 27 hour one.

I'm a bit confused by their product line. The soundpeats truengine 2 is what's advertised on their website and kickstarter but it's not for sale. I recently received a pair of Soundpeats Truegine 2 earbuds through a Kickstarted promo. Same setup as the SE but with touch sensitive instead of push button control. Though sound through Bluetooth is slightly muffled the 2 driver system is slightly clearer. I did notice the volume was weaker than most other BT earbuds and the drivers too sensitive and tend to crackle and pop when sound is modified through an equalizer app. Being that the specs are identical in both the SE and Truegine 2 ? Could the have the same short-comings?
