Welcome to the twenty-sixth episode of this semi-hardcore survival series, in this episode I work more on the interior and try to add a lot detail into the interior and then make a start on the hallway that will lead to some other rooms!

If you want to run a big "pipe" along one wall of the passage, you can replace one of the walls with the cylindrical blocks (or the round conveyor pipes), and cover it with a grate of some kind. That way, you'll have both a pipe _and_ a flat wall in the same place. Maybe put a very weak light somewhere behind the pipe, to enhance the detail. I really like the idea of using a vent to create a puff of "steam" in the passage. As for the ceiling, I would suggest keeping the pipework block on one side, and putting in a smooth block of the same profile along the other. That will make the _shape_ of the ceiling uniform, but create a bit of asymmetry in the texture.

Yeah the only issue with that is I would need to put blocks behind them to make them airtight, so I think I will leave it as is to reduce the welding a bit 😅

Mate your detail is just awesome. You know I would hate to inside your brain at time just the thought process is boggling . :) in this one it would be awesome to have a Captians bunker room and a crews as well

Thanks mate!! I love to spend time on that kind of stuff, the satisfaction you get when you create something your happy with in this game is addictive 😅. But yeah my mind can be chaos sometimes LOL. I agree! I'm looking forward to using all the new decorative pack 3 blocks too 😊

Yeah I really need to spend sometime on that ship! I have to admit I am a bit intimidated by installing the interior, I just need to make a start and then I think I will be OK after that 😊

The only thing I don't like about the industrial refinery is that there's no conveyor system on the bottom, so all the piping has to be obvious.

Where you had those half blocks in the roof you could have tried some inset light blocks for lighting instead of those corner lights

Hey bud, instead of having the assemblers back to back, you could have them next to each other, saving alot of space and time on the building of the room. Also, if you raise the assembler up 1 block it will be able to link up with the catwalk from the refinery and also allow you to drop in the 4th speed mod on the underside of the assembler. I usually do it this way and add in a couple of batteries in the open spaces of the assembler to make it into a full 4x2x2. Meant you also have 4 batteries in as a small backup for the production facility. Usually leave them on recharge unless i run out of power so they are actual emergency batteries. I know you have uranium, but is that gonna be your only way of getting power?? Or are you thinking of a Solar arm that can unfold out into space when the sun is in the right place??Could possibly be made to fold in under the hanger, 2 pistons and a bunch of hinges should do it, then just need a 4x5 place for them to fold away into.

I kinda got to this comments really late but yeah I ended up doing a lot of the things you mentioned, like lining up the catwalks with the assemblers 😎✌️. I think I will run with a combination of Uranium and batteries, similar to what I had done in my previous series. Although a solar tower that unfolds out when reavers are not around would be kinda cool 🤔

For organization purposes, you should use various storage and sorters to control the flow from Ores -> components. Have a storage before the Refineries for ore, one for ingots between refineries and assemblers, and then a final one for all your components. You can also have a bypass path for ice and other components to go to O2/H2 and to the final component storage. This way with a single connector on the outside of your system you can ensure all items go to the right container. Dragon Nation Gaming has a great Starter base that employs this method.

Thanks mate, yeah in my last series I used a sorter to remove everything from ships connected to specific connector so I dare say I will implement that method again 😎✌️

I'm guessing you've seen the new update, with some new looks for existing blocks. One section I'm a bit excited about is the scaffolding. They look like a nice transition between the usual catwalks and the beam blocks, and also a replacement for the unfinished blocks a lot of people use for decorative purposes. The new beds and medbay look really nice too. Is there anything you are particularly excited to use?

Yeah I really need to spend some time exploring those blocks!! I honestly haven't had much of a chance due to these reavers lol, well, that and I have been kinda busy in real life to have a look at them properly off camera 😅

That's a good question, I'm still trying to figure out how many levels I wanna put in this base and then from there I can make the hallways that lead onto those hangars. But yeah I am looking forward to building those, the timelapse for them shal be epic.

I can't believe those Store Blocks were airtight. I thought the corners would allow leakage

Yeah sometimes it just doesn't make any sense, blocks that shouldn't be airtight based on how they look and then like the new warfare reactors (Large) are not airtight which really sucks because I wanted to use it in one of my ships.

if you lift your helmet quickly it is a way of testing if oxygen in the room that was a really tight for the drill ship in that hallway

hints: 1. start your videos with a tour of the build (so far) 2. cut out the indecisive hemming & haaing & all the "ummms". I believe your vids will be more professional & watchable.
