1:13:25 I think you're spot on with the beam blocks on the ceiling giving it an industrial look. You've used them in the walls so it only makes sense to continue that look throughout the room.

A suggestion: Perhaps you should have sorters for every refinery for every ore. This way you have a dedicated refinery for each ore. Otherwise, they could all fill up with say iron ore, but at the moment you need Magnesium for ammo. You'd have to manually place the magnesium in the refinery and then still wait for it to process.

Perhaps the answer to the lighting in that room is to raise the roof up a block or two to break up the flatness and use the beams as the structure for the warehouse area with arches and in the space between, you might get some good places for lights. Though you'd have to tweak everything again afterward I suppose

Suggestion for the refinery room lighting. The lighting looks good from an aesthetic point of view, practically and froman RP point of view its far too dim for an industrial work environment. Dangerous actually. My suggestion is leave what you have for normal low power operation, but add in flood lighting overhead tied to a sensor that only activates when you enter the room, and deactivates when you leave. Also perhaps the industrial windows to look into the room from the hallway.

That's not a bad idea actually, reminds me of that base Protogen has on io in the expanse series, not sure if you have seen it? Where the lights kinda come on and turn off as Mao walks down the hall. Also, love the window idea! I'm gonna steal that for sure 😅✌️

For the command room I think it would look really cool if the glass extends out of the mountain but also goes far back enough to see the voxels underneath a bit

Perfectionist lol. If keeping the lighting dim mayhaps paint the machinery a lighter colour. And the catwalks too mayhaps.

Agree if using the weld speed on the Build and Repair, they should be upgradeable same as your hand tools. Watched and Liked 👍

1. keep those catwalks 2. most players forget about 4th cargo access (on 2nd floor) in ind. ref. :) and same thing with ind. assembler in that in that cut in part of it.

Consider making a small grid single drill mining ship with minimal thrusters and small enough to go through the airlock double door. Use this little ship to right click drill your passageways for conduit to the remote turrets. Saves having to get air and recharge while digging.

54:50 I'd go with the open catwalk. The barriers on the sides just look worse and fact it cuts off some access could get really annoying later.

Suggestion for the lighting: add a light to the doors area. The entrance is pitch black. The lighting itself in the roof looks amazing imo. When you fiddled with it you made it look amazing. Have you considered having colorcoded rooms? Green for production, red for medbay as examples.

Yeah I might chuck a little corner light there 😎🤔. Yeah someone suggested I use like green lighting so its like the Borg, which I am tempted to play around with 🤔

I think The production room looks really good so far perhaps you can move The gravity generator into the ceiling 1. Perhaps the inset beam blocks on the ceiling will look good too

Im wondering why you dont use the light panel. I find it useful for my rooms and i tend to apply a event controller with applies anlight change when room is in usage or when refineries are running , just a little tip. I want to thank you for being so detail orientated. Its something i really love about all you videos. Thanks for another marvelous episode

Consider setting the turrets to weapons and not default. When you get swarmed the turrets will fixate on a ship that lost its ability to shoot at you and not on the ship blowing holes in everything.

You could have put the piping between the assemblers. Straight goes to 4way which feeds two T into assemblers. Between straight pipes. It would look interesting when you walk on the grating above.

Seems like a pretty nice layout but I did notice that you left your pacifiers in the "on" posistion for the neutral targets so you might want to check that out.

Any way on one of your future videos you could explain how you cut and paste multiple items to change names and also how you add so many items on the left side to change their settings all at once. I’d ask for a personal answer but I’m sure others would like to learn it also. Right now I click each one at a time to add to a group you just grab 10 or 20 all at once

If you want to select like a whole bunch of items in a list then select the first one, hold the shift key and select the last item. If they are not in one big line then you can select multiple items by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking the items. Then copy paste is just like Ctrl-C to copy and Ctrl-V to paste. All those shortcuts work in Windows as well.

Why not make a measuring template that's something like 100 blocks long, with every 10th block completed and/or painted in a very visible colour? Then you can use that for a lot of your measuring, and not have to build a new template every time.

Oh the template is mainly used as a drill guide, so I kinda follow the incomplete blocks with my drill, and aim the drill at the center of blocks 😎👌
