The best "Forgotten" RB that ever played at Oklahoma. Imagine what he could have done on a Bob Stoops team.

The silver lining to the blake years
@brad64204 жыл бұрын
I think the silver lining for the Blake years would be his recruits winning the title in 2000. Pretty much everyone on that team besides heupel was a blake recruit.

If only he'd stuck around for one more year.

I remember watching DP in high school. Even then we were marveling at how incredible of a running back he was.

Favorite RB. Poor guy was a one man show for below average teams.

Below average? They went 3-8, 4-7, 5-6 those years. You're very kind....
@brad64204 жыл бұрын
@@seanchaney3086 due in large part to shitty special teams. Granted there definitely were a couple blowouts, but a lot of those loses were 1 score games in which we had a punt blocked.

Never heard about this guy great top end speed

De'Mond Parker on any of the 70s teams would have been All American at least 2 years and would have competed for a Heisman.

This dude was incredible.

Damnnnnnn SHAME......He should have been on Bob Stoops first team in 1999.

DP on a Stoops coached team with Leach as the OC. Forget about it.

Would have been a senior in 99' playing alongside Trent Smith, Brandon Daniels and Josh Huepel just to name a few. And as an added bonus, the coaches wouldn't have had to burn Quentin Griffin's redshirt due to injuries. OU definitely would have made a better bowl that year with him on the squad.

Damn Demond Parker had some burst.
@soonerdave0111 жыл бұрын
We would have won that game regardless of RB personnel had Chuck Long simply kept running the football on that final drive. One of the LSU players even mentioned in an interview several years ago that their defense was completely gassed by that point. He straight-up said that if OU had kept running the ball they couldn't have kept them outta the end-zone.

Too bad Demond was on such bad OU teams. One of my favorite OU backs.
@hambone69411 жыл бұрын
Not to Mention Q then would have been on the great team in 2003.. With him and Kejuan Jones in the backfield i gurantee we win the game against LSU...

It's sad to see OU behind in almost all of the games...We we're not a good team.

If Oklahoma had a defense and a better qb
@brad64204 жыл бұрын
They averaged 2.5 punts blocked a game. They had so many special teams blunders. Truly Blake's Achilles heel as a coach.
@hambone69411 жыл бұрын
yeah that was one of Kejuan's best games and i thought for sure when we got to the 12 that there was no way they were gonna sot us.. that was the worst decision he ever made at OU...
@cedriclovesaaron13 жыл бұрын
yeah, if weren't for him, Blake prob wouldn't have won a single game.
