Us as the people who had the pleasure of Top Gear and The Grand Tour will never realise how lucky we are truly are. I highly doubt for many many years there will ever be a trio quite as amazing as Clarkson, May and Hammond are. We are the lucky ones.

The cinematography is totally irrelevant. It's just the wit of the trio combined with innovative challenges that made top gear a great show. Sadly grand tour never reached that pinnacle. I am glad that the studio format is gone. 👍

Hammond's driving is second to none. Simply incredible how he is so relaxed as he drifts and pulls near-death manouvres, doesn't break a sweat and then just says "it works"

I have always loved Astons, they are like scotch whisky, refined smooth drink with that smoky bite, thats exactly what I love about the sound - refined and gentlemenly but ferocious at the same time

@@kia2065 Do you mean "hideousness in motion"? That's possibly the worst looking Aston Martin Vantage ever. To quote a guy I heard on a podcast, "It looks like a fish that's very surprised, probably because of how it looks", and there isn't a better way to describe how it looks than that. Besides, you know a sports car is hideous when the SUV that's supposed to look like it (the DBX) is more beautiful than the sports car itself!

Just a slight correction; the car cost 121 000 pounds when this review first aired but, in typical Aston Martin fashion, you can now pick this car up for 49.99. Not a bad review but my all time favourite AM review is Clarkson's v12 Vantage - "It's wonderful, wonderful, wonderful."

Atleast the old V12 Vantage that Clarkson reviewed was atleast beautiful. This is the opposite of beautiful, and that's as kind as I can be to it.

Don't want a "soggy" setting? I think the Roma and Tributo are fantastic for having a "bumpy road" damper setting button! We're not always gunning for laptimes! Railroad tracks ahead? Cobblestone road? Just push the "smooth" button!

True, that colour though. I understand Aston Martin is trying to modernise, and they should, but please don't become tacky. It seems to me this is where Aston Martin is still lagging behind a bit. Sure, the cars are still beautiful, and they succesfully modernised them. But apart from that they seem to be trying to appeal to a young crowd a bit too much without knowing that crowd too well. Bentley does this better.

My lovely silver 200k Vanquish had NO seat height adjust and the appropriatly placed grey cushion for my little frame always made my kids roar. Yes, I drivey Vanquish sitting on a cushion. Few better looking AMs though.

This is a good car, no doubt. But not a great car. I own a 2009 DBS with a manual transmission and I have to disagree with the statements that it is not well-built. I compared this car from my other cars of roughly the same vintage. I can tell you the material quality is better than both of my Ferraris and on par with a GT3RS which, in my opinion, is it as good as it gets. The V12 version of the new Vantage is indeed going to be epic I do look forward to that car Immensely!

I saw a video of one of these close up and there was terrible orange peal in the paint job...also pretty sure it was a production model. Might have been a lemon car, but honestly that's unacceptable for the price point. Either way the car is beautiful, they really need to fix that.

I like the new designs that aston has had for the last several years, Not as Classy as the old stuff sure. But still very recognizable regardless. That said though, I am an absolute sucker for Highlighter Yellow colors on cars. Obnoxious and a bit gaudy i know, but damn does it just POP.
