I've gone back and forth on the SSR technicalities. I definitely hear some haze there in the mids on certain piano tones, but this could just be a frequency response or tonal balance related thing because the treble and upper mid detail is pretty good. Still not a fan of the stage and imaging of it though with the 'empty' sounding center image, and the other two sound more normal for this.

Thank you for the review Andrew. With owning the T2 Pro., T3 and T4 none of them is on my list. Though as a recommendation for some people who are starting out in this budget, the Tin Hifi T2 plus is going to be my pic.

I have to say something about the SSR here after listen to it. It's much of an acquired taste over anything to be honest. On some music, the sound can be "hollow", but this sound tuning frankly works magic with the C-pop music where the vocal is way more pronounced and central to the song. The highs also gives a sense of sparkliness that neither the T2 nor the BLON gave me when listening.

I haven't unboxed my T2 Plus yet but I really liked the BL-05 when I reviewed them, thought they were definitely a bit of an improvement over the BL-03. I passed on the SSR based on the graph in the mid - upper mids.

I just bought some astell kern billie jeans and it is the best earphones i ever owned listening to miles davis, Led Zeppelin, muddy waters. It blows my mind but then i see reviews on se846 and campfire and your guys say its the best of the best and it just makes me wonder if this iem i have only cost 400$ how much am i missing listening on $1000 iems

Im on my final stages of tuning with my Diy iem that cost me around 20usd. And in terms of resolution, imaging, etc. Its actually better than my blon bl-03. The true gems in chifi is by diy imo.

Have the Tin T2's and 4's, but I prefer the RevoNext NEX202's I have. Hybrid, 1DD and 1BA and they go for 47.00 ( 49.00 if you want the cable with a mic)

I absolutely love my SSR. The tuning suits me better. But I love flatter signatures with some extra treble.

I paid $100 for Sennheiser momentum in ears five years ago. Now I have the tin t2, kz zsx, and ThieAudio Legacy 3. Those momentums sound like absolute garbage now. Like something I would expect to spend $5 for at Dollar General. I literally shipped them to a friend of mine that I know didn’t have any decent headphones other than stock earbuds that came with his cheap phone. It’s crazy how far the Chinese iEM’s have come. The ThieAudio Legacy 3 for $120 almost scares me how good they are. They have a sound signature that should please just about anyone. Maybe you guys could review it soon. I’m confident that I’m not wrong. Heck it even has two little switches that you can flip up and down to slightly change the sound signature.
