The panchamirtham is a temple prasadam that is given at Sri Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple at Palani in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu.
It is the first temple prasadam in the State to have bagged the Geographical Indication tag. The panchamirtham is an ‘abhishega prasadam’, a religious food offering made to the presiding deity - Lord Dhandayuthapani Swamy.
Every day, around 500 grams of panchamirtham is used in the abhishegam to the processional deity.

Palani Panchamirtham is a temple prasadam that is given at Sri Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple at Palani in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is a fruit jam made from five natural substances- banana, cardamom, jaggery, cow ghee, and honey. The prasadam is considered unique because of its taste, texture, and the traditional method of preparation that has been followed for centuries. In May 2023, it became the first temple prasadam in India to be awarded a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, which recognizes its unique attributes and origin. The Palani Panchamirtham prasadam is highly revered by the devotees who visit the temple and it is believed to have many spiritual and medicinal benefits..as per devotees or say an emotion ! 01.26 shows six items, Panch means Five (Anch) Country sugar (Nadan Chakkara/Nattu Sakkarai), sugar candy (Kalkandam/Kalkkandu), Honey (Thean), Dates (Eethappazham/Perichampazham), Ghee (Neyyu) and Cardamon (Elakkai). How come. Is it Sixamrutham (Shunamrutham) that will go well with Aarumukhan (Six headed God). What am I missing ? Looks like Sugar and Sugar Candy is counted as one.

I totally forgot banana (vazha pazham) which makes it seven ingredients. It should be named saptamritham. Sugar cane and Bananas are native to South America and dates are native plant of Arabia.

@@johnutube5651 Banana and Sugar cane is NOT native to "South America", its native to "IndoMalay" regions (which includes India). The Dish Original contents where 1. Banana, 2. Honey, 3. Ghee, 4. Jaggery, 5. Cardamom. In later years when there was increased availability of Dates, they added that for new taste.

Not every can that is produced is offered to Lord Muruga! As per @0:21 , it seems only 500 grams (.5 kg) is "offered" to the lord. It is used as part of "abhishegam", which is the ritual bathing of the idol.

Appo "Panchamrutham" enna mozhi? Tamizh ah? Samanamdhame illa language issue kondu vaaradheenga. Shri is same as Thiru. North Indians using Shri is fine because they are used to that.
