kings should consider switching full time...purple and gold with the Gretzky era logo at home, and while with the crown on the road.

@@kj6446 Kings fans have been saying for years that the purple and gold need to be the team’s colors. Don’t think anyone is a huge fan of the current lack of colors or logo with the exception of the team itself. The first reverse retro is absolutely perfect.

@@ZiggyValentine as a kings fan i don't mind the colors we have now if we do them right. the white alternates with the shiny silver are fantastic and i wouldn't mind us making a home set and going to those jerseys. However, the purple and gold look is far better and I would really prefer them to go to those. either way we need new jerseys

I remember when Gretzky was trade from the Oilers to the Kings in 1988 that was the day they dumped the purple 🟣 and gold for the black and silver

It does look so good. For the Hurricanes Reverse Retro, it doesn't make sense as it is based on their current away jersey which began in 2019 and the orange NHL logo was long gone.

The best change is that it's not the tacky looking rubber shield anymore.

I've missed seeing the orange and black-style NHL logo around. I bought a hat from 47 Brand that has that logo alone and I love it - even got to wear it to a Blues game earlier this season!

Those Kings jerseys are awesome. Love the purple and gold with the early 90s era logo. The Kings have never had a bad logo or jersey though. I say this as someone who isn't a Kings fan.

Totally agree with you on the original Jets logo. It should be their primary logo imo. The Leafs 2022 RR is nice.

@@SuperStrik9 I do like the Leafs RR for this year, especially now that I got one. I like the felt crest, it’s something not many teams utilize, but the ones that do, do it right. Like Columbus on their cannon logo sweater. Probably one of my favorite Adidas sweaters even though I am a Wings fan lol. I’m looking forward to a Arizona 2022 RR that should be arriving tomorrow. I had to get quite a few this year since I missed out on all of them last time around and have a hard time finding any I like in a 52 or 54. I probably would’ve got more jerseys had I bought blank ones, but I had to get mine all customized because it’s nice seeing the fonts and designs some teams use for their numbers and letters that help add to the design. IMO they help add to the aesthetic. It’s funny because I live in an area in Indiana where hockey is not popular at all after living in Detroit for 30 years, and I always seem to get questions about my jerseys from curious older folks or people with no knowledge about the game in general. One guy thought the ‘22 Vancouver RR was a minor league team and how it was odd the number was only on one sleeve. Then he said “hockey is not a thing at all around here, you must be from one of those northern states.” After I told him I’m from Detroit and half of my family is Canadian, he asked me what the hell I was doing in small town Indiana 😂

@@gonuts4donuts Speaking of Indiana, the Indianapolis Racers had pretty sweet jerseys. An Indianapolis Racers Gretzky jersey would be an awesome jersey to have. I just mean getting a Racers Gretzky jersey made up new. An actual game worn jersey would be incredible, super rare and super expensive. Would be amazing to have though.

@@SuperStrik9 Royal Retro has some great new retro jerseys of defunct NHL and WHA teams. In fact I plan on ordering a Gretzky Racers jersey along with a Ciccarelli North Stars and a Gordie Howe 70’s Whalers and Shanahan 90’s Whalers jerseys. I’ve got a Lanny McDonald Rockies jersey from them (ordered it without the name on the back) and the quality is pretty good.

@@gonuts4donuts I'm a Leafs fan but I miss the Whalers. I love their jerseys with the "invisible" H inside the W. Lanny getting traded from Toronto to Colorado should've never happened. It's a sorta long story but the main reason is basically Harold Ballard smh.

A few years older, and not home schooled, but just about the same for me. My parents did not like sports (but supported me playing) but I seemed to be the only hockey fan in the schools I went to.

@@csolivais1979 it’s a very lonely feeling. And when you’re disabled, there aren’t any hockey options. I can walk, but not for long. My dad used to fat shame me because I found it hard to find exercise options. I was a competitive swimmer and barely maintained my weight.
