Your videos have distracted me for hours in hospital waiting rooms whilst my daughter went through multiple brain surgeries and for the last 4 years since her passing hearing you say how much you love your job and what you do is amazing and i just want to let you know youre not only helping farmers in Scotland and their beautiful animals but also helping a forever grieving father all the way down in South Australia get through the quiet times 1 hoof trim at a time. I appreciate you more then you will ever know GP thank you ❤ i hope you do see this message

Cows that old are often creatures of habit. She is a suckler cow so not like a dairy cow but either sort of cow get used to the routine of life and I think its almost a comfort to them. I used to look after cattle and they get used to their owner, the colour of their clothing, the way they walk. If a different person arrives in the field it disrupts them. Its odd how sensitive they are to little things.

Harriet reminds me of Tiny, one of the cows my family owned when I was a kid. She produced and raised very fine calves for years and put up with small children sitting on her. Eventually, she retired and became our pet cow. She lived to be a very old cow.

Never did I imagine, that one day, I would find so much peace and comfort watching a total stranger in another country, tending to cow’s hooves. Sometimes my family members catch me watching these and they always say “What are you watching?!” There’s just something about watching you work that sits right in my soul. It’s such an honorable profession to give these sentient beings relief from pain. Cows are just big joyful toddlers, and I am so happy for them when they leave the crush lighter in spirit. And, with the understanding that you were doing your best to help them feel better. I used to work with a middle school girl that had autism. There was a dairy farm next to her house, and she always wanted to walk over and visit the cows. They would always approach her and let her pet them. It was almost as if they had their own secret understanding. Those cows would never let me get near them, not to mention touch them. I hope there is a place in heaven for cows, because they are such gentle and tolerant beings. They endure so much and mostly for the benefit of humans. If there is a cow heaven, I’m sure there is a picture of you there, and all of the kind farmers who did their best to give them some kind of peace. Thank you for your videos and sharing your knowledge. You make the world a better place. God bless xo

Her feet are really interesting. Horses get laminitis too. Only with them, over time they become severely lame and extremely painful. Owners can work with a farrier to shoe horses to help find relief from founder. But a lot of foundered horses are put down. I’m thankful you can help this beautiful lady with her condition and see to her comfort. She’s such a gorgeous girl. Great job!!

Laminitis can be managed with diet as it’s often caused by excess sugar - ponies prone to laminitis were bred to manage on poor, rough moorland or hills and cannot cope with lush Green spring grass in managed fields!

Reminds me of some horses hooves I’ve seen. Makes me wonder how they manage to walk, and the fact it doesn’t make them lame is amazing. I get a tiny rock in my shoe and I go mad. Thank you Graeme for sharing your wisdom on these beautiful cows.

I absolutely love your videos so dearly! I’ve never worked with cows, never lived on a farm, never had anything whatsoever to do with hoof trimming, but I have a special place in my heart for you and your channel. I want you to know that because you reach a vast audience of people, hoof trimming involvement or not, and you’re doing a super cool thing here. If you gave my little daughter, Lorna from Michigan, a shoutout in one of your videos, I know it would make her entire year. Thank you again for everything you do, we love you!

I just want to be a head petter while you trim. I've grown up around cows and while I live in the city now, I do miss it and them. I love animals and just want to hug them. Thank you for all you do for them and for sharing with us!

Dear Harriet, you're a lovely lass. You're as patient and kind as you are beautiful. You stand so quietly in the crush. I feel you look forward to getting your pedicures The man who tends to your feet is called Graham and he's a pretty good chap. I watch him carefully. It's obvious he knows his stuff and truly cares about you and his other clients (cow clients, not human ones...but Harriet I think he likes the 2-leggers also). Hope to see you again next year.. Only the very best to you lovely girl. ❤🐄

Really enjoyed seeing an older setup with a beautiful old barn, etc. New barns are okay, but the old ones have my heart. ❤❤❤

It is very heartwarming to hear how old Harriet is ❤❤❤ I hope she will reach the end of her normal lifespan and gets the chance to enjoy life as a senior. 🤞
