The game is 6 years old, and it’s still getting content added to it. That makes it an awesome game IMO.

You know whats funny? He's so very wrong about EW changing opinions about endangered species. Tigers are only legal to kill in Nepal as self defence or if the tiger is actively going after humans. In game they made it so its hyper aggressive and actively hunts you, so killing it is ok. EW managed to both put it in the game and to respect real life hunting rules, therefore teaching hunting ethics to people at home. Rusa, Sambar and Banteng are endangered too, but EW got around their status by choosing the australian populations, where they're invasive. Euro bison is huntable because the warden explicitly says the hirsch population is large enough to need herd culling for conservational reasons. The only endangered species ingame that as far as i know dont have a way around their conservation statuses are iberian wollves and snow leopards, but at least of the snow leopards there are very few on the map and the wolves can actively hunt you down, making self defence a viable excuse. Bro was onto nothing.

Honestly this game does bring awareness and does show people species that they have never heard or seen. I'm studying for wildlife Conservation and see this game as a positive, you can shoot rare animals without harming them. They also have nice animal profiles for education purposes. Love this game! That dude is a snowflake and can't really think outside the box.

I don't know this guy and I don't care who is complaining, but I can say that The Hunter Call of the Wild was a huge help to me during the 2 year pandemic because everything was almost shut down and depressing during that time and when I started played COTW since the end of 2019 I became addicted to this game and since then I continue to play even the other hunting game like WOTH. COTW is not only a hunting game, it is also a community with people, content creators who make us discover the game in depth but above all Jaxybeard who is the heart of the community (I miss Treekiwi) makes us love this game during the livestream and that we love, because of the beauty of the landscapes, animals which are very well done graphically almost real like recently the Bengal tiger which is of majestic beauty which will soon appear soon in the new reserve on June 18 without forgetting the beautiful symphonic music that we can hear in the different reserves that I like to listen to and that we can listen to in Spotify. I really liked the last livestream with Jaxy when he showed the list of animals that will be in the Sundarpatan reserve and I especially laughed at the end when the tiger in aggressive mode jumped on Jaxy after shooting him. Long life to COTW.

I hate the endangered species complaint. There are probably more european bisons on hirschfelden than in the entirity of europe (that's not true, I'm cynical). Since day one. They aren't even allowed to shoot in Germany. But sure - we can not have wolves on Hirsch because ... reasons. The devs never cared, the players never cared. But every few months the subreddit is like "But the endangered species 😢..." At the end of the day it's like you said - they are pixels on a screen. If your feelings are hurt by this, I'm afraid you're not viable

First diamond i got was at level 10 ish, might be 15 dont really remember, i am now lvl 41 and got mutiple diamonds, mby 4 or 5, and i never play mutiplayer. What i like about the game is how slow it is, it is relaxing. and that is good enough for me.

I can understand the moral dilemma of adding tigers to a hunting simulator, but at the end of the day as everyone else has said, “It’s just pixels on a a screen.” From another standpoint, there is the realism argument, where people are upset that CoTW is becoming more and more unrealistic. Adding animal racks that are ridiculously huge, great ones, etc. Some people feel disillusioned I suppose. My only solution for these people, is to play another game. Edit: And not to mention the grinding system players have employed in order to obtain these rares, which some have gone on to call “brain rotting.” Edit 2: unfortunately this disgruntled fellow did not make any of these arguments. To be honest the new map doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. Dense vegetation, step terrain, only 16 tigers in the whole map...even less snow leopards. Not what I was expecting.

Heres what I think happened to this dude. He downloaded the game, played it, couldn’t get trophies so he then installed mods. After installing mods and getting every single trophy he could possibly ever want. He noticed it was no longer fun as he had literally gotten everything and the part where these trophies are supposed to be a challenge to get were no longer a reality to him. So now he complains as he lost the entire purpose of the game. Btw I do not wish for myself or anyone to spread hate towards his dude. We are all human and at the end of the day, no one is perfect. I wish the best for him and hope he turns away from this behavior.

I don’t think it’s actually that crazy of a take, the hunter isn’t a cheap game and every update they release you have to pay for, they don’t really address bugs that have been in the game for years that are quite annoying. And I thought the reason they didn’t add elephants to the game was because it wasn’t “ethical”, (I don’t actually know) I think that was why he was saying that about the tiger. Either way it’s pixels on a screen and the tigers are absolutely amazing! I think there’s a happy medium between this guy trashing the game entirely and everyone defending everything the game does. There’s lots of issues ew needs to address and idk if they will when all they get is happy smiles

Although I can somewhat see where this wacko is coming from with a few points, I do not agree with what he said nor support him in anyway. With that out of the way, a few of my gripes with the game. I do know how spawning works and herd management but I don’t like it since it does reward higher volume of killing. Even ew knows this since they introduced the .308 and .300 ars so the grinders can bring down more animals faster. I do find it odd that ew went from the no endangered species mindset to having two on this map but it’s a welcome change and I’m glad they changed their minds because it’s a game. Mostly for me anymore I play classic and woth bc they are harder and not arcade feeling like cotw. Again me personally I wish the game would’ve been more like classic but I’m still satisfied by the game and I still support and play it, but I do have a right to discuss parts I think should be changed and so does every other player. All of us have a right to express opinions and disagree with each other but no one has a right to denigrate other players.

The proper way to play this game is which ever way makes u happy I tend to enjoy the game more just roaming the map and hunt feed zones and rest zones I tend to try to stay away from water unless I stubble across water

I think this is the guy who used to moan on the weekly live stream with Jaxy. Always complaining that because he'd paid for the game, EW should do what he says/comply with his demands. Very much fits the incel-gamer mold. I'm not sure what the criteria is for sucking at COTW, but if measuring success is multiple lodges full of platinums and rares, herd management and early access then, yes, I suck. On the other hand if being good means losing myself in the game environment for a couple of hours and having fun in a piece of entertainment which has little consequence on real world conservation or environmental efforts, then I am bloody brilliant, a genuine grandmaster of the game!

(Also I’m serious about this) I have some complaints about the game such as animals attack animations not really looking very realistic, and some pretty annoying bugs like animals getting stuck and just staring at you and animals drinking way to far away from there zones when they are spooked away from there drinking zones, but this guy was absolutely stupid. Yeah I was a bit annoyed they didn’t show the more of the animals on the first stream on the new map, but at least we know we will see them eventually, and the endangered animals argument was dumb, since it could actually help the endangered animals since they could increase the amount of money you have to pay for dlc. Some of that money could go to conservation, and also I agree with the saying that they are pixels on the screen. As long as they aren’t harming the endangered species irl then I’m fine with it.

I know im late but seeing this made my blood boil. I have been playing this game since release so this game has a special place in my heart. But he said they release things no one asked for but i have heard many people ask for a tiger and the tahr goat and many other animals on this map as well as people ask for a map in this region as well as many other maps on the game i have never heard anyone complain. Also if im correct dont content creators that get the game early only get it for a short period of time so then they have to wait just like we do anyways and everyone gets it the same day pc doesnt get it any later then console. Dude must have worked on the way of the hunter
