The only thing different I would have done, is called to him when you were 30 yards away. NOT hammering the call, but a few clucks and puts. A lot of times the bird (that has been hammered on public land a lot) won't come to you, but he will poke his head around and take a few steps in a circle to try to look in the general area of you, and at that distance, all you need is to see the head! This trick has worked for me when stalking a talkative, but stubborn bird. Good luck, you are helping me get through finals!

That jazzy piano tune always gets me. The first time i heard it was a turkey tour show last year when you had a mob of jakes loving up on your hen decoy. so friggin hilarious, tell Ryser great job. im serious every time i hear it i smile wider than the hoover dam its so funny.

I would have scratched the ground and yelled some to see if he’d poke his head up. That’s stuff I never thought of doing until watching you guys. I witnessed it work with my own eyes this year. I have this problem a lot with the turkeys on my property late in the year. When they get hunted hard they stay in the woods and gobble non stop, almost like they know they’ll see you way before you see them so they aren’t scared to gobble. I had 3 different ones going nuts like that one one morning no more than 30 yards just like you. I could never get to a spot where I could see em and shoot one but they went crazy for about 45 minutes straight. You probably just dealt with a super smart high pressured bird

Fun hunt! Love to hear'em gobbling like that. You guys try to sneak in on them a lot more than I do. I like to just be patient, they will come.......I hate to bust a bird when they are gobbling like that. Might take a day or two but I have usually get them by figuring their pattern out. All my hunting is on public too.

This video about sums up turkey hunting in Georgia. They’re hard to find and even harder to kill. My granddad is an Osceola turkey away from a grand slam and he tells me all the time how easy they have it in the Midwest and how hard hunting turkeys in the southeast is.

TN is one of my spots I wanna go. Or the N. Ga mountains. I hunt the oak swamps of middle ga and it’s nice all but no mountains!

@@trentbrownlee Run down and try out Flat Tub. There's a couple of birds there I left behind that gave me a few good hunts. I loved hunting that place. Birds around every bend, if you know where to look of course. ;-) I bought a Lifetime Resident Sportsman's License before we moved just so I can go to Flat Tub when I'm back in GA.

Great video as usual. If y’all were hunting Paulding Forest WMA, it can be a tough place mostly because of other hunters messing you up. I hunt mostly Paulding Forest and Sheffield which borders a part of Paulding Forest. Not typical, but I’ve heard 20 different birds before fly down on one morning. Heard at least that many vehicles come down the road too. hahaha. Averaged hearing probably only four or five birds a morning. Limited out there last season with on birds that worked good at noon. Gee whiz.... I aint never heard a turkey gobble that much! Hotter than a $2 pistol! Here in the bluegrass we have been dealing with much of the same. We are consistently getting on birds but just cant get them to move from their bubble. Even got in there with them this morning and of course he decided to move off in another direction! Its sure fun though...just gotta keep after it. Really loving the videos yall! Good luck and cant wait for more!

others have commented around the issue of the camera needing to be on the bird/deer/whatever before- remember that most that watch your videos do not expect video perfection- I would WAY rather see you guys succeed in killing whatever it is and not have perfect video of the actual kill, then to wait for everything to be perfect camera wise. When you are doing the run and gun thing, it isnt always going to work out to get it all on video. Zach should have army crawled up on that bird!
