So once we have our grams for our formulas how do we calculate how much raw ingredients to purchase? Suppliers sometimes use other measurements than grams.

When making samples for formulating, does it have to be 100 grams or can we go smaller than this, so that we can create a sample size of 1 oz instead?
@theinstituteofpersonalcare6401
@theinstituteofpersonalcare6401 2 жыл бұрын
It should be to 100 grams; and is much easier if you use grams rather than ounces because the formulas are written to 100% - so 100% translates easily into 100g. Hello, I am looking for someone to help me learn how to calculate how many of each ingredient I need for my specific formula. I watched your videos and they make sense but when I go to my formula, it just doesn't click. Can you help offline?

Okay holy shit this is awesome …. So if I have 3 essential oils for a candle. Say 35 drops in total . I have to weigh each essential oil by grams to determine how much of each is weighted in grams before I can do a bigger batch? Like 6 drops of lavender.. Weigh how much that is by the gram?
@theinstituteofpersonalcare6401
@theinstituteofpersonalcare6401 2 жыл бұрын
You need to weigh them as every different oil drop weighs slightly different differently. So get your current volume measurements, and weigh them, then convert it to a % formula. Then it will be really accurate moving forward. Please work through our FREE Masterclass, it will help you with this: personalcarescience.com.au/Workshops/CosmeticFormulationFundamentalsMasterclass-7441/
