He is very simple and practical, street smart. and I am very wordy and philosophical, emotional and complex - book smart with a strong intuitive side that sees through the material into the hidden energies of people and dynamics. There were times he phrased things in a brash or gruff manner, like a New Yorker kind of, if that makes sense. Real straight up. It hurt my nervous system. I always felt so brittle in his hands.
