I’d actually say it was a DPS diff. Not because red was playing BAD per se but because Hypery (the enemy Reaper/Ashe/Sojourn) was just having a REALLY good game. They had a solid Mercy pocket for 80% of this game and they were getting huge picks. You just didn’t see the same kind of impact from DrSickMan or Steeze.

Something to note that i want to give out the tank player is that i clearly want to praise and probably glossed over is that this tank has been activly been conscious about his sorrounding, not many tank player keep tabs on their sorrounding teammates, he knew when the teamfight was over and chose to dissengage many tanks die on point without realising what they've done was good or bad, he made an active effort to know when the fight had ended and made a decision, i understand that it is better to die on point at times but this habit is a good one and can bring better results overall, he just needs to be more familiar with the mechanical aspect of bubble managment and leap trajectory control but overall the awareness presented should still be practiced as not many tanks practice this. There were alot of mistakes on how he aproached things but overall the attention and choices he made weren't neccesarily detrimental but can be improved by being more familiar with the heroe.

Something i noticed was that they don't really know the range of their left click yet. They lost so much damage

People will say tank diff when they loose pretty much no matter what. i've played in games where my tank got flamed for not having the damage and eliminations that the enemy tank did but they played with the team and had really high mitigation which is why we won. I've been flamed for a close game we lost when I played winston and I had 48 eliminations to the other tanks 14 but they didn't care. tank diff. Its why I have coms turned off entirely for this game.

I'd say it's a teamwork issue I rarely seen genji really work together with winton and the mercy pocketing him

To the Winston in the vid as a Winston main I tell you this: Bubble has 1 usage: it is to protect YOURSELF while diving backline, without it you are useless with it you are useful, you are not a Reinhardt stop using bubble to "protect your team" you want to know how Winston protects his team? By baiting attention onto him . And use high grounds they will alow you to drop to backline without using jump. And as for primal I rather use it as a last resort if I am going to die or it's overtime and I gotta buy time for ma team to return, and of course you have the juggle tech of primal but I was it as a way to disrupt.

It wasn't really a "diff". Just a bunch of small things like target priority and bubble usage, as well as your DPS not knowing how to play with a Winston. Some of the Reinhardt-Bubbles did actually work as your DPS knew how to use those. One last thing, Winston does not really need to aim. Use that time to get aware where your team and enemies are. If a DPS almost made a pick, secure it. If it's an equal fight try to isolate the supports from the fight. Either by diving or just bubble and help your team. But you need a decent understanding where everybody is, which you can build by looking around.

I used to be a Reinhardt one trick, but now playing anything except tank is more fun. You can't even really body block for your team anymore, they just mollywhop you down in .02 seconds and anyone you try to swing at gets pumped so hard that they're functionally invincible.

Recently I've been getting the feeling that evenly matched/close fights in comp are getting really rare. Granted I'm only gold at best but all the games I've played the past week or so have either been my team stomping theirs or their team stomping mine, no in-between.

The classic enemy goes pharah and we all go projectile and ignore the pharah and let her fly around and be annoying for free. But when i go pharah the enemy team all goes hitscan and make my life miserable playing pharah.

Also 2nd point of this map is so tough for lower ranks because you can be doing everything as a tank but no one will take high ground to put pressure on the backline. Like at 11:00 their supports were uncontested most of the time and the only player applying pressure was the tank. For sure a dps diff.

100% target priority. Tank v Tank is not the play when your team isn't picking up enemy supports.

Hope we don't lose the skill of ult tracking, the real cause of a tank abyss. Ram, soj, and lucio have theirs; I pressure a bad overclock which will force beat, my team survives annihilation by not being in range.

I love it when I play tank and see my DPS getting absolutely fked on but blame me lmfao. Then the supports backed me up saying I wasn't the issue. DPS players need to learn about accountability and being better. Not sure if it's like a copypasta to just blame the tank or if they genuinely believe in their claims.

Winston's biggest value is ignoring the enemy tank. Spent too much time targeting the tank and not diving Mercy more often.

I had less death than everyone on both teams, and 5 less kills than the other tank, was told I was overextending, and was told tank diff, some people can't accept a close game and ready to blame, I was healer with a like a 1000 from the other healer while damage boosting as mercy and speed boosting as Lucio, we WON the game, but a guy blamed me for the game not winning faster

They have nerfed the melee cancel so it doesn't matter really

Not tank diff, just playstyle issue. I can tell you play support more than dps bc you don't take those free elim. I would say change you mindset to tank and be more aggressive, think of your bubble as a way to attack and you should be good.

This wasnt really a tank diff, could have counter swapped but so could the dps an support (support less so) as a tank if im countered and my dps don't go counter when they yelling at me to counter I just use that match to get better against counters lol

Saying any class diff instead of just being constructive and helpful is the reason I have match chat disabled.

The ez answer to this match is just to switch to something else. Countered by reaper in first round, countered by dva in next. But The cool part is seeing this player work around the counters. For sure just work on the jumps and focus a target.

Yeah this winston isn't the best, I don't play him very often because I solo queue tank alot and doomfist is just better in that scenario but this player just presses their buttons without thinking about why. They could use some better mechanics but they need to learn how to use their abilities better first. They would've decisely won that last team fight if they killed baptiste with the primal

I never like to say diff to any role in chat (unless the person is an ass then yknow) because we can all admit to being diffed before, and it doesn’t feel great and it doesn’t help when people say diff in chat, it just doesn’t help with confidence in your abilities to play a certain role/character.
