The money for the ticket will be used for this project. It was a honor to play in st. pauli. (well, thats a short version of what he said)

The audience was particularly moved a project where Israeli and Palestinian children and learning to play the uke together .. the tickets for the show were helping to fund the project

You mean English-only speakers, I guess. It's not very difficult German if you have the basics of the language. Adding a bit of humour at the end the guy says (paraphrased) "we'd like to end the show with something light and simple, so we shall now sing this ancient, traditional song ..."

@@michealobanaghan4220 German isn't taught in UK schools as a second language until people are taught French to a component level. Therefore many Brits don't have a basic knowledge of German, I don't know if this is the same in other English language schools, but I suspect many American schools learn Spanish before they learn other languages. I appreciate English is a Germanic based language, and share many common root words, but not enough to make it understandable to people without being taught the basics of German.

It's not classless to jump to the important part that we see them exercise their musical skills.
