What a VanDam ride it was! Sherry, Jackson and Nicholas threw me this party to celebrate my 33 year tournament fishing career. Here’s the full recap video from that special night. We had ourselves a T I M E with so many friends and family!
A lot of people stepped up to make it happen and I don’t take that for granted. I can’t thank Jackson & the ‪@GrillwithWeber‬ team enough for preparing the incredible main course, and ‪@yeticoolers‬, ‪@MinnKotaMotors‬, and ‪@HumminbirdTV‬ for their support. It was a night I will never forget!

Truly been an honor to grow up watching Kvd, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and every great athlete that has given us the greatest pleasure watching you succeed to be the best in your sports. As us average people you gave us amazing moments that made us feel great at good times and bad times. It's what truly got us by taking our minds off issues watching all you perform. As our greatest representative of the sport of fishing we love more than anything Mr Vandam I can't thank you enough for letting us live and love watching you succeed these past 33 years. Thank you Mrs Vandam again for sharing your husband with the rest of us all these years. Like he has stated it never could have succeeded without an amazing woman and family beside him. It's been a true honor to witness all of this. Thank you again!!

Congrats Kevin on one heck of a fishing career and what you’ve done for this great sport! The way you represent Kzoo and this community has been fantastic (you should be very proud). Thanks again for what you’ve done and are still doing for the sport of fishing and this great state👍. I’m sure I’ll see you around at D n R sports on occasion but right now I’m heading to the st. I consider myself a pretty tough dude but this just made me tear up a little. Kevin became a pro the year after I was born so this was a pretty heavy chapter to close, emotionally. Kevin you’ve been an absolute joy to watch and learn from. Thank you for what you’ve done for the sport of bass fishing and I can’t wait to see you take on the next chapter. #BuryMeWithAKVDStrikeKing

Awesome. Congrats Kevin on a fantastic career. It’s been an amazing ride watching you from your rookie years all the way through now. You know, the first tournament I ever saw you fish I could see that you had something special. You had a drive to understand and catch bass like no one I have ever seen and I knew you’d be great.
