The batter will cook way faster than the egg. You'll just have raw egg in a fried pancake. You'd have to cook the egg first.

Ammon Slayden wouldn’t work because the chemical reaction happens when it comes into contact with the shell, so with no shell no reaction.

• VIDEO IDEA • You guys should do different experiments with eggs - crack a raw egg into liquid nitrogen and make the opposite of a poached egg. You should also freeze dry a raw egg and put both a raw and boiled egg in the vacuum chamber to see what happens!!

'Scotch Eggs', which were invented in the early 20th century by the London store Fortnum and Mason, are boiled eggs, preferably with a still-soft yolk, which are wrapped in sausagemeat (originally with some haggis added), which are rolled in breadcrumbs and either deep fried or baked in an oven to cook the sausagemeat. I love them, especially when made with haggis, or better still, black pudding. Absolutely delicious. My town here in the UK has a very high quality food hall that sells them. Perfect.

Because the oil is wet it won’t harden because when you bake it it gets rid of the moisture

M4xb0x 360 I think you're thinking of air dry clay or earthen clay. Polymer clay cures with heat, and can be boiled to harden it. With polymer clay it's not really about moisture loss that cures it, since its polymer based. In fact water and polymer clay don't really mix well anyways so it doesn't particularly rely on water to be soft. You can change the softness by adding oil, or leeching the oil out, and mixing with water will not really work, like other clays. Which is why I'm curious what it will do in a fryer, since it's such a high oil content, low moisture, cures with heat, and doesn't really contain much actual water.

I know you touched on this in the video, but here in Scotland, you can pretty much buy deep fried anything. One popular amongst tourists (though not so much locals!) is the deep fried Mars bar. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I’m from The Netherlands, and in the north part of our country, you can actually buy fried egg in a cafetaria in a crusty ball of ragout. It’s delicious. It’s meant as a snack together with fries.
