The Horse had a minor nose bleed but the number of times the Guard had to press the panic button was ridiculous. I am not an expert when it comes to Horses, but it seemed to me the Horse didn't feel well before his nose started bleeding It also made me angry to see tourists still snapping their fill of pictures while this poor animal needed attention, they have no compassion at all.

No it’s not ridiculous. You can’t be too careful when a horse has a bleeding nose, it could start as small tear then become big wound instantly. Also that button appeared to have malfunction or the horse takers weren’t so responsive before. It happened that’s why he pressed several time.

And brain is the first and major organ get affected, 1 minute without oxygen the brain cells will start dying and nerve cells won’t regenerate. Same as human, doctors and nurses will be very alert when they see a bleeding nose.

7:54 - Thank you so much to this smartly dressed gentleman that noticed the nosebleed, and let the guard know! Kudos to you sir for not just ignoring everything around you in order to get a picture, but being observant and showing respect and care for these guards and their trusty steeds! It appears that the guards need two buttons! One that says, get to me in a timely manner, and the other, get to me ASAP! I don't know why it's called an emergency button. It's nice to see that the horse was taken in immediately.

My guess is that the type of button is an e-stop button, commonly used on equipment as an emergency stop... but the team doesn't consider it an emergency when it is pressed, which is obvious from the long wait for help every time it is pushed. That's too bad, they should have some immediate response system...even using the police around that gate sometimes to get the attention of the guard's staffers, whatever it takes. Even an intercom so they can say what the problem and urgency is... or just be allowed to judge when the horse is ready to go to the barn for a check out, if necessary. They could always come back out later if all is OK.

I am amazed how many times that the guard had to press the alarm before someone came to his aid. Fortunately it was only a minor bleed for the horse but I hate to think that it would that long if there was a serious situation before any one came after the alarm was pressed. Hopefully the horse has a good rest and some treats.

Perhaps it is time to upgrade. Given the todays technology, it should not be too difficult to equip Guards with earpiece and microphone headsets inside the helmets. The two way communications would serve the King’s Guard well indeed, time to upgrade from the doorbell push and hoping someone hears it.

It's an emergency button, military don't have 'panic' buttons. The slow response was not normal from what I've seen on here before, but was not good. Hopefully the fact it was caught on film will improve the response time. There are normally armed military police roaming about in the square behind and met police nearby so they are not totally alone against attack.

It may be more appropriate for the horse guards to have a more modern and appropriate means of communication. With the guards in the stables area. This would lead to a more appropriate and timely response. Ensuring that the tourists, guards, and horses safety are maintained. Something for the powers that be must consider in future. The sooner the better. Especially as the current communication doesn't seem to be working for the horse and the guard.

They switch out every hour and then get to back to the stables and rest up.

They also get switched out with other horses so they have proper leave after their weeks of guarding duty where they are put out to pasture with the rest of their herd. These horses are incredibly well looked after.

You could see that the horse wasn’t feeling good you just had to watch it if I’m honest I thought that the horse was going-to fall down the poor thing and he had to push the button one to many times for help to come to I’m glad the guard kept pressing the button

If I was standing there and seeing that guard constantly hitting the button and no one was coming out I would and got the closest police officer and tell him whats going on.

13:17 the arch is disgusting! a complete renovation is needed considering thousand's of tourists come to see the horse and guards. soon there will be vermin running around the horses legs.

considering the guards and horses are pristinely well groomed, the derelict building is like a slum area. infested with cockroaches, rats, mice and other nasty creatures. clean it up!

The doors look like they need repairing. I hope the horse is alright. The tourists should not be aloud to swarm all over the horses. Someone with dirty long fingernails could have scratched the poor horses nose, keep them away. Also why so many silly tourists laughing alot at horses and soldiers. They seem like they have never seen any kind of animal before and don't have compassion for lovely animals. Ignorant tourists

Poor horse. And guard....he was obviously worried about the horse the way he kept ringing for someone to help. Not acceptable as to how long it took for someone to get out there.

The first scene showed how ill the horse felt, feet sprayed apart, steps to move very slow head held low, but he tried hard to be what we expected from him. Head lowers slowly ears start to drop and I am Not an expert in any way, never even owed a horse. Guards just received two black marks of disapproval from me.

WELL THANK goodness nobody was attacing the horse or guard ,because the RESPONSE to that EMERGENCY button was totally UNACCEPTABLE. I know this is just a tourist attraction but the outcome of the SITUATION could of been VERY different .VERY POOR example to the SAFETY of HORSE ,GUARDS and PUBLIC. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 💂‍♂️🐴🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Obviously not an emergency button just a come when you can button. What would happen if the horse had collapsed? The guard that did look at the horse was just coming out to do his part of his regular duty not in answer to guard requesting assistance. If I was that guard sitting on the poor horse I’d be very p… off having to wait that long for assistance.
