Heay Heather, I'm trying this one for dinner. I posted the pictures of my canisters on Instagram. most of them were left to me by my Gram. She has raised me from birth. She taught me everything I know about canning, baking, & cooking. I was away from it for a while when I was sick. When she passed I was given her entire collection. So the pix you see on Instagram of her house and how she had the displayed. my boyfriend and I are currently building the shelves and counter space in our new house so that I can replicate her design. I love to see you and your husband interacting with each other and with the kids. I've made something similar to this bread and substituted 1/2 cup of semolina flour for regular flour and man oh man it makes wonderful sandwich and breadfast bread. Also I was delighted to see your husband mention Seals & Croft. If you guys are in your early 30's how does he know their music? I love them too but I'm 70 and grew up with them during 1960's college days.

This recipe is to die for. I use round stainless utensil holders (4" diameter, 5" high), and you get a nice round bread - great for toasting, sandwiches, etc. In this house, we never wait for the bread to cool before cutting & eating - nothing like buttering fresh bread. Glad to see you back!

I love making English muffin bread. It's so yummy. We fry it in a skillet with butter and top it with either raw honey or preserves. The best part is not having to use a mixer.

Oh Yumm !! I have to make that. My kitchen is torn up but I'll find a way. I make an oatmeal flour bread that's wonderful for breakfast. I've been missing it. A neat thing happened too. I have a Bread-man machine that's a little over 20 yrs old. I use it in the summer to keep the house cooler. It died & I talked to the company about it. They sent me a new one free. It makes 2 regular size loafs. None of that odd square loafs. It's so fancy. I think I may be able to do the English muffin bread in it. If not I'll get out the ole Kitchen Aide. Love making my own stuff. You got me hooked. I'm trying to master crackers & pittas now. When I get my garden set up I'll start making some videos. Glad your feeling better. It's so neat your getting a girl!

I had 4 teenage boys and one of my daughter's here eating me out of hose and home so I decided to make this. What a wonderful and easy bread. It is great tasting with honey or homemade jam!! Been making this for a few years now. I will sometimes use 3 c of white whole wheat and also add 2 T of Flax meal. i have also made it in the pullman.

I made the king Arthur bakers companions English muffins. You have to try the recipe seeing that you have the book. I would say the only change I would make is by baking the muffins for fifteen minutes instead of the 25 minutes the recipe calls for. I used the oven baking method. Please if you try this recipe you have to make a video and share it because it is totally awesome.

Loaves came out about 20 minutes ago. Toasted a slice, buttered it up and WOW, IT'S GREAT!!! Great crust. Great crumb. Great taste. No, it's not a Thomas' English but for so little work you'll get 2 beautiful, tasty loaves fast. Your visual aids and guidance helped with the consistency. I used 4.5 cups of flour. P.S. We call them Eggs in a Circle. Not creative but self explanatory. Thanks for the recipe.

Ok! Where did I go wrong? I made this recipe along with your video, but my dough was w-a-y too loose! So yep, I kept adding flour & kept mixing on & on until it somewhat resembled dough. Still not clean from the mixer bowl. It’s rising up now. Fingers crossed it will bake up tender enough to eat. Oh yeah….. I’m new to baking breads. 😄

Okay I made this in my usual up all night as I am but how easy....OMG, I love it!!! Now the trick is in not eating the whole dang loaf LOL! Oh, and I did not have corn meal or any of that sort so I just used some of my courser home ground oat flour and worked perfect.

I love a good English muffin so naturally I have to try this recipe. I have one question. I thought the traditional coating on English muffin/bread would be Semolina flour in place of cornmeal. I suppose in the end it makes no difference. Just curious.
