@ctashi7081
@ctashi7081 9 ай бұрын
@@cxlmobileheadlightrestorat7906to be pain free for knees, you need to have balance in your legs. When you walk and run you put 3x your bodyweight into your legs. Your tibialis absorbs the force but when your tibialis is weak, the force goes up from your ankles to your knees, causing pain in the knees. So yes there are some ankle exercises here but you need these exercises to maintain harmony and protect your knees.

I am a Jiu jitsu athlete myself. Been training for many many years. I tore my left meniscus over 3 years ago (it makes a little pop going DOWN stairs but not up.) but I have no pain or discomfort from it really. I also have dislocated this knee cap training back in 2008. And about 8 days ago I took a hell of a pop to my opposite knee now - it’s swollen and I think I tore some of my right meniscus now. I’m super depressed because I’m thinking I can never train anymore or I should just quit the sport I love. Did this help you?!! Any comment will help man thank you

I started on Monday walking backward for 10 minutes. After 2 days, my low back felt "worked," so I didn't want to push it. While putting on my pants this morning, I was able to put them on without leaning on something for support because of pain and weakness in my hip and low back. Amazing! Tonight, I felt stronger, so I went on my backward walk again. Seeing results so quickly is exciting. I am almost 71 years young.

Girlfriend took a plane home on Friday. Called to tell me about a 50 something year-old guy she met in the waiting area who was doing squats/stretches/???. Becoming interested, she asked questions. He was stoked about what he had learned from a guy named Ben Patrick. From bad knees and two surgeries he had become a beast by doing Patrick's exercises. He was thrilled with life again. I'm getting pumped and following these videos. Apparently, Ben is still pumped himself. Great story about Bryce Harper. The last thing anyone wants to do in life is to concentrate (work the brain) because it's the hardest work there is. Blessings to all.

Also in the gym every other day starting to slowly do different lower body exercises. My pain at night is going away. I believe a lot of my problems are also with my tightness in my hips and jacked up ankles from blowing them out multiple times playing basketball for two decades . I’m barely walking and it’s effected my livelihood as a carpet and floor guy, it’s all I know. A lot of despair and no hope for awhile that I may no longer be able to support my family. Yesterday, I found this video after watching him on Dr. Berg. I’ve been doing the exercises, and feeling more confident and that I’m on the right path. I have hope and most of all hunger to improve. That’s been lost visiting doctors and therapists that essentially told me I need to just retire and find some online work instead. Thanks for the positivity and the inspiration. People don’t talk about the toll this can take on your income as a business owner, and the toll on your family. Approaching 50 and having to hustle and start all over again is tough, but I can now hustle and grind harder. It could be worst. My mind has to be 25 again, but at least Im not withering away. @@Mayank-rs7kg I had surgeries in the 90’s. We came a long way since then. I think you’re at the right place here. I went into surgery with no internet and really no understanding of what is going on and what to expect. I would follow ATG closely if I were you. I can tell you that if you don’t rehab your knee properly down the road it will affect your entire body. Shortened leg and arm on the surgery side, misaligned pelvis and your neck can become infused to your shoulder. This you’ll feel and see 30 years after surgery of course. However, this doesn’t have to be you. Follow Ben and never stop training. Post op 2 years I felt great because of youth. It catches up to you in your 40’s if your careless though. You know, if I only knew then. We just weren’t in the Information Age then unfortunately. Good luck! Never stop training. Please continue this program and spare yourself from problems in the future. One thing that really help me with ATG Split Squats was stretching out my internal and external hip rotators and doing some ankle mobility exercises. I noticed when I was doing ATG split squats in the beginning, I would always get bad knee pain on my left side but now I have 0 pain by bringing ample mobility to my hips and ankles. Your channel along with Squat University has helped me tremendously with my athletic performance in boxing so thank you Ben!

Appreciate everything you’ve put out. Currently working on the zero program and having issues with pain in my bad left knee while doing the split squat. It’s actually happening when I’m working on the right knee and my left leg is straight. I’ve had two knee surgeries with my last about 5 years ago and had a completely separated and shredded patella Tendon

YES! I used to have that as well. The heel elevated step up + the couch stretch actually do the most for that. Check this out: look at the back leg, that's basically the reverse step up position! But the heel elevated really "turns it on" for tougher cases. Then add extra length with gradual dedication to the couch stretch. Keep me posted!

Thanks for being a mythbuster, fitness educator, and inspirational leader. I also agree that everyday should be counted, because we never know when the unthinkable could happen and lose someone, so no waiting for specific days to show and tell the people we love how much we care. Having said that, and since it is in direct response to the holiday message, I hope you, your family, and you extended ATG family have a safe, happy, and memorable holiday weekend.
