Saurabh, recalled IITD days. GATE exam started in 1983. Ours was First batch appears in GATE. Few days I stayed in Kakadev with my friend while appearing for JEE. I didn’t get admission in first attempt and in 2nd attempt I opted for IITD. I visited IITK campus no. of times during stay in Kapur for a year 1977-78.

One of the few videos of Saurabh which I liked. No biased views. Very interesting and informative.Am surprised to see that students of such esteemed institutions are living like a frog in a well. They should be aware of what is happening in this country. That laugh by one student when the lady said she is doing B.ed shows the narrow mentality of these students. But happy that Sourabh took over and brought sense into their minds. The references that Sourabh gave to the students and the last piece of advice given is very much appreciated. Loved this video

Ye IIT ke hone pe jo garv hai wo nikalna hota hai. Arvind kejriwal IIT se hai to respect hai is statement ka koi mayna nahi hai. Mai bhi IIT kanpur ka passout hu. Meri company me mostly log IIT ke nahi the. Wo bhut accha kaam karte hai. Shuru me mujhe lagta tha ki meri mental ability, iq etc inse better hai par baad me samaj aya aur bhi bhut skill hote hai. Mera jab IIT nhi hua tha kafi preshan thi.. Aesa laga tha ki ab sab khatam ho gayi.. Par jese jese studies me aage badi aur bht sare IITians sey ya IIT ke profs sey mulakaat hui, aaj meko accha feel hota h yeh soch ke ki mere senses zinda hai. BJP Sarkar pays 0.6% in R&D.. just want to sell product but they do not want to develop or discover something to manufacture...I did Phd from AIIMS, NEw Dekhi did post doc from NIH then got a job of scientist in AIIMS...this was the validation that I have done post doc..though the criteria was Msc plus 3 yrs...so I am doing a job here like a slave with a higher degree...and nothing is improving...funding in research is so low in India..this is very sad...Phd students do not get fellowship for 6-8 months ...how they can survive? This country can not grow in research till we have good govt who stress on R&D with funds

BJP Sarkar pays 0.6% but what about congress government that u want in power? What was their budget allocation for r&d in their time?How many new IIT and AIIMS were established by previous government that was in power most of the time. What innovation was done in railways, aeronautics, nanotechnology, semiconductors? First do some research without getting biased. Things take time. No one is perfect, we have to judge which is better or can do better.
