This Lateral Line fishing mission starts with the boys receiving a special invitation to go and stay with some awesome people who call New Zealand’s far North their home. The home being on the edge of and overlooking a beautiful far north harbour. Great video again lads. You are really lucky to have such awesome viewers that invited you up. What an amazing spot. I love how you show the good and the bad on these fishing trips instead of editing all the bloopers out. Makes it heaps more authentic. Maybe Milan needs a dead man cord for the berley bag! 😂

We lived in South Hokianga for 20 years. My husband's family are all still up there. Made us abit homesick looking at all the beautiful spots on the harbour. Where you were fishing near the entrance, we have fished so many times and sometimes seen kingfish hanging around the rocks there. We would often watch big pods of Orcas going up the harbour chasing stingrays. All our boys learnt to fish on that harbour. Thankyou for bringing us beautiful footage of our home away from home💙🌊

Another great video, fellas! Nato, I just want to make a special mention of your ability to narrate through your intended B-roll footage before editing is absolutely unmatched and mind-boggling. Anyone would think you're narrating to a microphone in a studio half of the time, that is, until you bring yourself back into the shot and realise you've been chin wagging outdoors to the camera the entire time. Always admired it, mate. Your productions are very inspirational 🍻🎣🎥

Wow! Massive chur chur to you my brother 😎😁👍 the second we leave home or sometimes even before we leave home my brain switches in to film/narrate/edit/music mode and I guess because I’m all those things when it comes time to edit the lateral line it all just seems to fit together. When I’m narrating I know what I’ve filmed, the shots I have ect, so I know what to talk about. When I’m filming b roll I’m thinking about the editing process and editing in my head as I go. As an editor being the cameraman I’m filming in a way that makes the edit easy and as seamless as possible with constant transitioning. I guess At the end of the day we have been doing this for years and it’s lots of fun creating the lateral line and if it’s fun you just get better at it over time 😎 brother again, I really appreciate your comment 👍 I often talk to people that think all the narrating is a voice over done at home after the fact which makes me smile because to think that people must think it’s good right 😂 it’s just very cool to know that people like your self can see it as simple as it is 👍 I’m just talking to my phone in the wide open spaces and then filming some b roll to put over it 😎

I’m sure that is Hokianga Harbour. In my youth 😂 an uncle had a small farm near Opononi I beach where Opo the dolphin used to play with the children swimming. Some low life shot him. It was talked about for years but no one was ever charged that I know of. This was sometime during the 1950s.

you have to put a lead on the anchor to better bite the mullets !we fish the Canary Islands for mullets with a white plastic cork on the surface and with two needles at a distance of 10 centimeters, one from the ault, we put bread in the needles and you will have more results that way....

Our mullet won’t eat anything? We have tried and tried again then tried some more. Milan spent his childhood jagging mullet and selling it to the bait shops for pocket money so he got really good at it 😁 chur chur for the comment 😎

Yeah. I gave some old R80 stuff to a big strong bloke who has offered to come help with the big stuff. I'll take everything I can to the new place then call him. Mostly sorted in the shed. All tools collected and packed. Loads to the tip. We'll be right bunji.😂

WOW, that ramp is directly opposite our house, my best fish so far is 24 lb , plus a few 30lb plus kingi . I sit on my kayak just out from that ramp, 5am ,full moon, incoming , 8 am high, I am home with limit by 7.30am . But we don't call it the " Hokianga " it is the mighty Ot

Yes epic is understatement ., I also hunt with a Bow, & shoot mangrove pigs in the back yard , love the Bolar Triangle, the sweet spot, got a big boar recently,, 165lb, fatas I shot him from my bedroom window , he ran 30 mtrs then dropped, heart shot @ 70lb Compound , cheers Nado@@TheLateralLine

I heard there were pigs running around there. Not only can you catch fish in front of your house but you can bow harvest pork of the deck. The man has it made 😎 chuuuur

You know it Nado, I had a stroke a few years ago and struggle to walk far now, I thought my hunting days were over , then wild boars smashed through my fences to attack my Kunekune meat pigs, I had to stop them with a shaft, got 3 so far ..Chur chur brother @@TheLateralLine

We Can’t use a cast net here for mullet 😬 we filmed cast netting for mullet years ago and got the dreaded phone call. they were very good about as the rule isn’t very clear. You can use a big hill net though 🤪😂 is what it is 👍
