This video helped grow my appreciation for Mega Man. I kind of get the hype for it now.

I know they were bad guys in most the games and cartoons, but I loved how megaman powered up reminded players that the first set of robot masters were treated as megaman brothers. Even in the megaman manga and i think the archie comics, once they were defeated they would help megaman in his adventures.

I hate how unheard and underrated is the megaman zx series! They are amazing games!

Thanks for getting a little more depth in the complicated history of the Robot Master creators. Couple notes: -Shadow Man was found by Dr Wily and is supposedly from space. -Tundra Man was also created by Dr Cossack.

I may not have grown up with the original Blue Bomber, but Battle Network was my all time favorite part of my childhood, but just knowing that BN was only a small part of this huge franchise gets me excited to hear more about every aspect of Mega Man and X too!

Great video, although I did wish you went into Dr. Ciel’s creations too. They’re pretty important for the Zero/ZX series

"Complete" my shiny metal ass. This is barely even HALF of the family tree. It barely touches on the Zero series, and totally fails to address the entire ZX and Legends series. By the time of Legends all of "humanity", with perhaps ONE exception, is part of Dr. Light's family tree.

I would add Ciel to this, she made Copy X, a new energy source in the form of the Ciel System, and the Biometals that grant users the power and experience of the likes of X, Zero, and the 4 Guardians from the Zero series.

Amazing how detailed all the robots became. Look at Cut Man and then look at Storm Eagle and their level of detail is very massive.

You forgot about lights other inventions Eddy the met, Auto, tango the cat. There is also beat the bird an invention of Dr. Cossack, there is also Regae the bird willies minion.

Cover the zero/zx timeline

Dr.Light also created the robots from 1 and 9 making them his brothers and 1 new sister.

Come on, Capcom, give us X9 and connect the X and Zero/ZX universes!

I would like to see more theories about what happened with Megaman before the X series, I remember on that canceled Megaman MMO intro that original Megaman was present and full of bruises!

I have always been confused why there are two types of megaman (the classic and BN) but now I know. Still, I liked the concept, theme and designs of Battle Network better. It has a more modern anime art style to it. Especially megaman BEAST.

Dr Wily Also helped build Megaman, Roll and the original 6 robot masters, they are also in the Dr.Light/Dr.Wily family. The misunderstanding that just Dr.Light created them and gets the credit for it is THE reason Dr.Wily went down the path that he did.

It gets really dark once the Earth is destroyed several hundred years into the future by a great flood and no humans remain, only advanced reploids called Carbons that are farmed and their numbers kept in check by a system of AI known as Elders and the Master. Megaman is still a Maverick Hunter of sorts but he himself is a Maverick when he has to turn against that system when the Master, the last human alive decides he was wrong and offers Megaman the choice to rebel against the order he helped establish. I probably made it more interesting than it really is but that's my take away from the Legends series and I love it immensely.

Ähm... what about Dr. Ciel? I mean Creator of "Copy X" and "The Ciel System" The Ciel System is a new energy Source developed by Ciel in the Mega Man Zero Series. And i dunno but I think she is a part developer from M.E.G.A. System or R.O.C.K. System in the ZX Series. I'm not sure about this.

Dr.Cain Megaman X Zero Axl Signas Lifesaver Douglass Layer Pallette Dr.Wily-Main villain of the classic Megaman series. Sigma-Main villain of the Megaman X series. Vile-Secondary villain.

I'd like to take this time to mention that Dr Cossack wasn't kidnapped by Dr Wily. It was his daughter Kalinka that was kidnapped by Wily which forced him to make the robots Wily wanted.

Next time do a video focusing on the Dr. Lights counterpart Dr. Hikari and his family battle network.

I for one would very much enjoy content of one of top favorite franchises of all time that in this case being mega man.

Fun fact: we are very close to be on a world near of one of Mega Man universes. With assistants like Cortana, Siri and Alexa we are getting close to the Mega Man EXE time line. It's a great time to be alive!

I love the video! Ah, Mega Man will always be my favorite gaming franchise for its simple yet tight controls, beautiful presentation, and amazing soundtracks. "Dr. Light made little to effort to find him," Erm... you're giving it pretty hard to Dr. Light here. Its Proto Man. If he doesn't want you to find him, you aren't going to find him! Plus, don't you think that Dr. Light might have been respecting Blues's choice to live apart from him, waiting for him to come back on his own rather than forcing him back? Edit: Hahah! Boba Fett wishes he had Vile's weapons load-out. He has flamethrowers and incendiary explosive launchers in his knees and machine guns in his fingers! Not to mention his durability and physical strength!

When i was 4or 5 My elder brother and i started playing mega man x. It became my fav series. And now i have played more than hundreds of games. But this whole X series has a special place in my heart coz it rose the gamer in me. This Megaman X made me A gamer.❤️

8:13 - Wily got the idea way sooner, as he attempted to make both specialized anti-Mega Man bots on three occasions (Rockman Worlds 1, 2, & 4) and a trinity of stronger Robot Masters based on Journey to the West (Mega Man: The Wily Wars). He also tried his hand with just attacking Mega Man with another Mega Man a few times, most infamously in Rockman World 2 (which has the living epic fail himself, Quint). Sometime prior to or during Mega Man 6, Wily accidentally generated a new power source that he would later dub Bassnium and elected to just make a Mega Man of his own with the discovery. Then Wily decided to try refining this energy source some more and put it towards creating the new generation of robot kind, which would of course be Zero. Those last two tidbits came from the Bass ending for the arcade game Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters.

What about the Zero, ZX and Legends? And if you do so, do add the fact that the further the games go in the timeline, they tend to look more and more like the world in Legends c: Since there was an interview with a Megaman dev (not sure if it was Inafune) who said that, the more it goes into the future, the more it starts to lean towards Legends, the art style, the structures, the characters etc...

In zero series x's design is ysed for more main character reploids and even some mass production ones

I always find it funny when people think the robot masters are just, gone after the events of the game. pretty much all of them get repaired and brought back to the good side after the games, not only is this shown in basicly every form of mega man media (except the ruby spears cartoon of course) but even in the games, in mega man 7, we can see Cutman and gutsman in the newspaper of the intro cutscene, seeming to be running there own interview, or show, or something like that.

I hope we get a megaman movie or anime series.

I like the idea that doctor Cain was merely an archeological doctor, thats why he found X, and that robots were his hobby, so of course all the schematics and copies he created from the X blueprints were flawed and resulted in a lot of robots which were destined to become mavericks - the virus only slightly speed up the process.

I used to love these games. I need to try out the most recent ones.

I never knew there was so much depth in the Mega Man storyline. I love the games and all but honestly I never payed attention to the story. I was happy with blow up robots, get powers and repeat!

All the Rush puns are killing me, Limelight and Caress of Steel.

Please also do a Battle Network series too! This one was amazing!
