I've recently discovered this channel while needing inspiration for a Gears of War TTRPG i'm working on and it has been an absolute treasure trove of information. It's surprising to see how many people grasped onto the lore as much as I did. Keep doing what you're doing man, you're kickstarting and feeding creativity where you can't even see!

You know now that you mention it about the Kantus being their own species, in the gears 5 dlc one of the characters say that they fought Locust holdouts after the imulsion countermeasure was released. With that in mind I think it makes sense that the holdouts might’ve been predominantly Kantus as opposed to drones.

I'd love to see a Pendulum Wars spin-off, maybe switching between a UIR and COG campaign or see some of the Locust vs Lambent war.

I was thinking a similar thing. Tackling the last days of the Pendulum Wars and seeing how the UIR dealt with Emergence Day. We could fight as the UIR and the Locust / Lambent War simultaneously like Halo 2. Plenty of scope for many unit types.

Maybe you could play as Paduk being distraught at the end of the war and how he feels then it leads up to judgement and then maybe instead of some popular locust you play as a simple drone rising up the ranks of the horde

They should come out with a Gears game from the locust perspective. You play as Raam and Skorge is like the Dom equivalent since they were great friends. And the boss in the end is Uzil Srak

A gears of war game focusing on locust and lambet wars before E day would be awesome. Even a pendulum war game would be great to experience too. Plenty of history to write and play with there it’s like a dormant old volcano of content and lore that could be thoroughly explored.

Something that would be great in my perspective, its a game, with a perspective, on the E day, and the early years of the Locust-Human war, BUT, with the UIR PERSPECTIVE, it would be awesome to see the colapse of the goverment, the desperate fight of the remaining UIR nations for survival, and how the E-Day was far more brutal in the territory of the UIR than in the COG nations, also to look how the UIR, behave looking this threat, and their later, alliance/Unification with the COG, to free their lost territory to the locust

I really liked your channel since finding it. I really like this one, it all feels logical and plausible. Sometimes creators can go into flights of fancy, not meaning to stifle creativity but they can sometimes feel like they're not part of the franchise.

@@KingAbzTV One of your other commenters also pointed out something important. It's great to see some love being given to franchises that either aren't as current as others or in some cases the ones that finished with a whimper instead of a bang. Although still good games with some good features and lore, 4 and 5 didn't have the same effect as the first trilogy. I've literally just thought this very second about what lore may be in the Gears: Tactics. Although I also like strategy games, I've never played it.

I'll put forth a theory, Kantus are immune to Immulsion, due to them either inhaling it for their rituals for so long, or conversely, they are born with a nature immunity. (kinda like Queen Myrrah) I'll pitch this one, too, Ukkon's Zealots and Disciples are hand-picked Drones who have a natural immunity to Immulsion as well.

I dont know how Emergence Day is gonna end, it may just begin and end on Emergence day but what id like to see is the aftermath of the HoD strikes, where Marcus et al fly out from Ephyra to see the scorched earth and realise, to his horror, that the Locust were barely inconvenienced. Then their missions would include reestablishing footholds in some few areas not incinerated, fight the newly created Stranded, and perhaps salvage some equipment. Shit E Day could just be the beginning for a prequel trilogy to be honest.

Am I the only one obsessed with the untouched silver era? Pictures the humans of Sera in knightly armor and wielding massive swords against each other for sure but maybe even the Kantus and other hostile life on Sera.

I don’t like the idea of the Kantus being a separate race of creatures. Yeah, me may have not seen Lambent Kantus, or them being wiped out by the ICW, but that’s just probably cause we never see them and the developers just never thought to show it and make them an enemy type. It’s also just fine to say they are a much different subspecies of Locust. Sure they look a little different, but some subspecies on our own planet look wildly different to their cousins.

It might by be interesting if they added to the lore of Gears by saying that Humans were never native to Sera, but that the gears of war time line was way ahead of our own because Earth was becoming less habitable, so in order to preserve our species, selected planets were chosen and human colonies were sent on a one way trip to these planets to grow, but thousands of years fast forward, all records of these trips were lost or destroyed

Honestly gears of war needs a game based solely around the locust vs the lambent. The main character would be one of the locust. Add a DLC campaign based around the pendulum wars or do it vise versa.

You brought us the good scoop on Netflix' Gears movie, and this video is Gears fan fuel. But there's a Brumak in the room; JoeFromSeattle posted his video saying that a Gears Of War reboot is necessary, backed up by a comment from Cliff himself I'm actually wondering how much of a service to Humanity (and even the Grubs) it'd be to reboot Gears from brass tacks? And what we'd wanna add to the reboot without it destroying Gears Of War's identity.

I disagree the pendulum wars are the most I threshing and it's probably a contrast with the locust using animals in war because of lack of equipment in harder to reach battles like the Island nations giving the cog the advantage because of there larger navy its slot to explore

I can't stand these garbage "remastered" cutscenes. They change the atmosphere and feel of the games. These idiots try to go for a brain-dead type of "woow so cool" instead of the realistic feel of cool the original has like raam shooting the captured Gear not just grabbing his head and cracking his neck and walking away like oh cool guy. It's the same thing with halo 2 "remastered". During the change of the Honor Guards in the "remastered" we see the Brutes bully, humiliate, and straight up punk the Elites taking their helmets off their heads walking like mr tough guy punks. But in the original the Elites look defeated but are still standing tall and defiant to the Brutes, looking the Brutes in the eye as they reluctantly let go of their pikes not being punked out.
